Home from Nationals

Just got home (and now realizing this may be a dupe post, but if I don't mention posting pics later, it's not a dupe!)

6:30am Monday morning....  off to bed...  working from home today (in between naps...)

Can't wait for the next GTG (will be looking for a babysitter though....)

Had a great time, and actually got a MOD done (new LOF) and another MOD started (tailgate lock)  JohnBChef - before I forget, can you PM me the color of wires I need to tie the wires into, and if this can be done under the rear driver's side sill plate, or the driver's front sillplate?    Thanks!

Do it under the drivers sill plate. Use the tan and grey wires in that harness.

Checking in from a hotel in Nashville.  We arrived home about 3 hours ago only to find it 97 degrees in our house, all of the corals and fish in our saltwater tank dead, and a dead air conditioning compressor......... :E:
Oh man - sorry to hear about the corals and fish....

OK-  ...and the air compressor...

We got home around 6:30... had to hit the Apple Barn for lunch and hit Tanger Outlets   We had a great time meeting new and ol friends.

Quietman - tell your lovely wife that the Beignets she told us about were delicious.  I'm glad we didn't know about them earlier in the week or I may have put all the weight I lost back on..  >:D

We can not say thanks enough this was a great trip, everyone was a blast to be around. Just got home 11:10pm total trip with the great tours around the country side was 2552.6 miles and 172.6 gal of fuel. again what a great trip. If you missed it don't miss the next one. If you were there I truly cherish all the new Friends we made.  We knew ahead of time that there was problems at home we had severe winds while we were away and lost two very big maple trees approx. 75 yrs old so it looks like a big cleanup job in the back yard, the biggest problem is one tree is in the pond in 6 feet of water and mud and way to big to pull out with the A/V. The other is across the Garden. Lost the corn, tomato's, peppers and some beans.good thing we can buy them. Going to warm up the chain saw. Thanks again to all, royalstar &snow angel

We got home around 11 last night I think, but after turning the trailer around to get it parked we didn't get to bed till after midnight and today it is HOT! Yucky.  And Blink is so happy to have his Shadow back.  Had a blast even if I didn't get any mods done except the one I won (sorry Troublemaker)   Thanks again Didit and Vetman

I made it to my destination around 12am, driving for about 17.5 hrs, it was just nuts. But I had a wonderful time, the best one I've been to yet, and had so much fun, got to meet some people that I didn't meet before, and it was great to see old friend s again. It was tough to get up to go to work this morning, but looking forward to crashing when I get home, because I am like a zombie at work, I cant focus on anything.

At least your heart's in the right place....    here on CAFCNA...

We are home again..  Left around noon after dropping the printers and check off at the childrens home..
Got in and about 30 mins later we had to take Bella to the vet as she had a reaction to something and her face blew up..

Im back....24 straight hours on the road. Hit nasty weather in St. Louis, tornado warnings/winds/hail and crap. I hope everybody else gets home safely as well. IM GOING TO BED, have to work tomorrow. Pleasure to meet many of you.

Glad you made it back OK (y)

We made it home safely about 10:30 pm last night.
Would have been sooner if not for the 1 hour delay on I-40, about 30 minutes west of Nashville.
Apparently a semi and a small SUV tangled and we all know who wins in those situations.
They had the freeway shut down for Careflight and then for removal of the debris.
As we went by the accident area they were just pulling the SUV up the embankment to put on a rollback.
It wasn't pretty.

We had an event free ride up to Slippery Rock, PA.  got here about 8:30pm on Sunday.

It was great seeing a lot of old friends again and meeting some new ones as well!  to you all.

Thanks to Hugs and trAV for putting together a great event!

Trey & I got home around 4:00 on Sunday, I went to bed at 5:30 and didn't wake up until 9:35 the next morning.  And that wasn't enough sleep to catch up on how much I lost during the entire week.  I'm getting too old to stay up until 3:00am or later every night and then getting up by 9:00am each morning.  Although, I wouldn't change a thing.  Trey & I had the best time!

We left Sunday morning about 10 am.  Took Royalstar's advice and went to Cades Cove before we left.  Actually saw a bear on the way out.  Thanks Mark, we never would have gone that way.  Spent the night at Oak Ridge, went through the American Science and Energy Musuem.  Finally got home around 1 am Tuesday morning.  We had a great time again this year.  Looking forward to next years nationals!

Brandy talked about Saturday nights go cart races and her ride with Zuk, ALL the way home.  Thanks to all who helped make her vacation more memorable than hanging out with the parents for a week.  She had a great time.

I know that some of us had problems when arriving home after the national, trees down ,fish tanks gone bad, etc. But we did have a great gift yesterday around 10:00am.

Congrats you two.  What a great welcome home present.

Sorry to hear about all the fish problems, at least no one has had any major mechanical problems so far.
