Hey Everybody,

I am kind of new to this posting questions thing, but I have found a lot of very useful information here that I have used at my local Chevy dealer to get some problems fixed. Thumbs up and a Thank You to everybody for taking the time to post their issues and fixes.

I was wondering if somebody could help me out here. I have this horrible "popping" sound coming from, well it sounds like it is coming from the right rear of the cab. I have checked the torque on the cab mounting bolt underneath, I have torn the door apart looking for clues, I have torn the midgate apart looking, I have pulled the seats apart, I have even pulled off the outside body molding up top to find something. And I Have come up with nothing!!!

My dealer hears the noise, I hear it constantly. It is a loud POP everytime the truck body flexes over a bump in the road. I also feel it in the floor.

ANYBODY HELP???

I had this same noise on mine. I found that the cladding on the assist step was loose. I popped it back into place and I haven't heard the noise since. It's been about three weeks now. It sounds like you have looked everywhere else give that a try, If you don't have assist steps see if your jack handle is not in the holder. It's under a plastic cover under the rear passenger seat. just some ideas to try ???

Make sure the rear window frame isn't cracked....I hear it's happening a lot. My new one is on order right now. Good luck!
