Saw a nice Avy in Circuit City parking lot in Manchester, NH today, waited for driver to come out and I complimented him on his truck. We start talking about Avys and he shows me his truck and options. Well, during all the talk he starts the truck then closes the door. A few minutes later he tries the door and it's locked. Did I mention it's like 90+ degrees and humid. Well no problem he calls OnStar ....... yeah right no problem. OnStar can't loate his vehicle. We are in a city, wide open parking lot with no signal obstructions and OnStar can't find the car. Poor job by OnStar, very disapointed. I too have OnStar. Anyway, long story short, an hour later a friend arrives with keys. I felt like such a jerk for distracting him by discussing the truck that he locked his keys in car. I did leave him with the CAFCNA website info.

A nice story to hear when I'm thinking about renewing the old "safe and sound" plan. That's just where his keys were, locked 'safe and sound' in the truck.

LOL...thats why I carry a spare key in my wallet! (y)

That's a sure way to get people to logon to the site.

He's gonna logon for sure now to see who that jerk was that distracted him. :)

There is something about this part of the country that makes OnStar unhappy. I have been parked in my driveway in NH and the OnStar people cannot get a fix on the truck either. Go figure.

I have to carry an extra key for everyone.... I'm always rescuing someone. My wife, kids, boss, neighbors.

I bought hide a key boxes for my kids for Christmas. when my son locked his keys in the car he called me for help. "Use your hide away key." I said. "I can't." He replied, "It's in the jockey box." DOH! :E:

Gotta luv em!

When I was thinking about where to hide the spare key, someone said to me... "What about this cute little side pocket here, look it even locks so that no one can steal it!"

Lol... That bites Spotty

The story of how Lockout got his name.... Going to the beach when I was younger, mind you I would carry a spare key in my wallet. I would put my keys in the glove box for safe keeping, and then without thinking about it, I would throw my wallet under the seat again for safe keeping... Lock the door... Slam it closed... and say DOH!!!

The following week... Go through the whole thing again >:D
