Okay guys, do we do a repeat of one of the three we already hit or do we go for a every Hooters in Houston scenario? I hear the Clearlake one is good.

Bruno what ever you want is ok with me, BUT 290 is having a grand opening soon.

It really matters not to me - but we should or dare I say owe it to ourselves to check out, nay investigate several different locations. Therefore I will throw out this location as we have been central and west and north so now if we move around.

Hooters of Sugarland
12759 SW Freeway
Stafford, TX 77477

Just a thought - I will go where everyone else wants! (y) ;)

Bruno, I too have heard that Clearlake's establishment has an excellent fare and the coldest of beer, and TXAVFN that Sugarland has a beevy ofmore counrtyfied young ladies to bring us our nourishment and swill, I dare say we would not be dissapointed at either place we would inhabit.... and to further state that any place we would grace with our presence would also not be disappointed... so this brings us back to the original question... where tha hell are we gonna meet for the Hot Wings and BEER and how soon, can someone hurry up and make some kind of a decision... time's a wastin and I don't see anybody here getting any younger,,,, that's for sure.......gizmo.. ;D >:D >:D >:D

Clear Lake will be close for me, there's also one in the Seabrook area. If we do one sometime after Sept. 16, I'll be through with my treatments and have a big reason to celebrate. Of course we could do one befoe then also.
There's certainly no parking problem at the Clear Lake as its in the parking lot of the vacated Fiesta store.
The only problem is its seems like most of you are from the north and west of Houston and we wouldn't want anyone to not make it because of the drive.

We had 2 dates thrown out for consideration - 9/13 and 9/20 - I would be inclined to vote for 9/20 as we could celebrate Dukester's end of treatments and cause it would allow him to come and the 9/13 would not - as far as where - any location we all decide is good is fine with me.

So here goes - (I dont want to step on anyones toes) September 20th, 2003 its a Saturday - now I know it is a month awat but with the Goo Memorial trip Aug. 29 th - Sept. 1st we have no time before the trip and the first Sat. in Sept after Dukes treatment ends is the 20th - I am sure we can all understand wanting to celebrate and enjoy The Dukes return!

That only leaves the place - I am inclined to pick the place with the most votes! So keep posting choices of location - we have weks to decide. As far as a GTG goes - Gizmo all you have to do is come to San Antonio and we can hit the Hooters on the Riverwalk - how bout it bud? Bruno and I and Jack and Ed and Oh say 20 others will be there - so why not make the trip - you can stay with us at the Motel 6 (we will leave the light on for ya) Plus there will be Jello Shots!

P.S. Any of the rest of you guys are invited as well - let me tell ya if you have never made a BIG cruise before it is a BLAST! (y) ;) :) :D ;D

Check out the Goo Memorial Cruise at the top of the Central Cruise section and sign up today!

BTW - At this point ClearLake seems to have the most interest and I would gladly cast my vote there! So it looks like Sept. 20th Hooters ClearLake - say 1:00 PMish. This is merely a narrowed down suggestion awaiting approval and additional input.

BTW - also welcome avalancheg03 - Hope to see you make this one!

I know - this is just a local gtg for those who are not planning on going to Dallas. I appreciate your attention to detail!

Hope to see you soon! It has been awhile!

If it is okay to bring my little girl with me, I will be there.

Yes all of our functions are family oriented (well almost) anyway - of course bring her - I usually bring mine as does Roland (avz66) and George (HernzAV).

Thanks, here as well as the other thread. Being single, with child, I felt it best to ask. Although I could get a babysitter (maybe, I have never tried), I prefer to include her as much as possible.

Sorry guys I will have to miss this one. I will be California for that weekend. I will have to catch the next one.

There is an alternative to this and that is The Super Chevy Show at Houston Raceway Park on 9/20 - we could incorporate a Hooters into this run as well - it would be on Dukesters side of town also and the date fits his treatment schedule - there is a thread started on this - but it says - Houston car show Sept. 21st - Make it the 20th and voice your opinoins.

If there are several events going on why we don't leave this event for the 27 of September that way the people that are involved in this event can attend and they a availavle for the 27 and we have someting to talk about at Hooters @ Clear Lake. who's for it.

Well that idea has merit - also you need to consider that most of the time we have but one meet a month and there is usually one big cruise scheduled per month so if you have too many things planned then attendence drops way off as people have to try and pick and choose which one they can make - we usually try and hit on a date and time that accomodates the majority - thats why all the ideas fly around, we then take these posts and figure out a plan. I know it aint the best system but it usually works out - some make it and some make it to the next one. If you go and look at the calendar you will see something for just about every weekend somewhere!

I'll go along with anything that's decided; it doesn't matter when we celebrate me being done with treatments; just so I'm done with them!!!

I would like to make at least one of these things.....It seems everytime I plan to do something with you guys something else always comes up. Just like this weekend a cousin of mine in florida decides to get married at the last minute not to mention the Canyon Lake trip months back. Clear Lake Hooters Sept. 20th 1:00 pm sounds great. I'll be there. Of course I just know something will come up :E:

Well now that it is football time how about we try a Monday night at one of the local hooters. I have a hard time watching the games when 3 other females want to watch something else on the big screen tv.

I just passed by the new hooters on 290 and it is open for service :)

27 September or a Monday Night Football would work for me...
It seems like everytime there's an event, I'm stuck behind a desk :E:

WW

Are we still doing this on the 20th or is everyone GTG'ed out and resting for Savannah? One more treatment (tomorrow) and I'll be free; for 6 weeks anyway before my next test.

I was just thinking the same thing I have a Wedding to attend later that day but I can try to squeeze in H  :eek:TERS that day.

Well we can for sure still plan a meet at Hooters - however several members cannot attend this one - so as far as I can tell only 3 or 4 people can make it - this is fine with me - I would like to urge you all to consider going to Georgia - we have 7 AVs coming from Texas with another 3 maybes, there is going to be National media coverage and a TV commercial made - this event could be HUGE - we however need more AVs to attend to get more interest from Chevrolet and GM - so come on and go with us. Check out the STI-GTG threads and see whats up! I am inclinded to skip our local meet - not because I dont want to see you guys but because I am so busy - BUT I will do what ever you guys want - post back or e-mail me if you can make it for sure. I would suggest the new Hooters on 290 but am open to a place we all agree on - let me know asap so I can get going on this - if I dont hear by Thursday I will postpone this event untill after the Parade trip to Poteet - which BTW is another outstanding event you should all consider coming Oct. 18th! We have many events around the state and country and I am not trying to neglect the local stuff its just these things have big turn out and require alot of time and effort to arrange - you owe it to yourself to consider hitting one soon!!!
