HOW I GOT MY AVALANCHE

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I thought I'd share the story on how I got my Avalanche. It was mid January 2002 when my wife saw a commercial on tv for a contest to win an AVALANCHE. I just happened to be shopping for a new vehicle anyway as my Toyota Supra was getting old and my kids were out growing the back seats. The contest was a national one up here in Canada put on by Chevy and the Global TV network. All I had to do was go online and enter my name and who I thought would be the last person standing on the African Survivor series. Well my wife came through again as I hadn't watched the show but she was and is still a big fan. I entered the contest with her prediction of Ethan on a Thursday afternoon . The following Monday morning I got the call saying we had won the Avalanche. Two weeks later we shot a comercial at our local Chevy dealer and they handed me the keys and ownership. LIFE IS GOOD

WOW!!!
Man, to own an AV and have no car payments?
You guys must be living right!

Way to go!!!

Happy AV'ing....

Wow! Winning an Avalanche is awesome. What color and options did it come with?

u suck u know that.. >:D no i'm only kidding (and very jealous! ;D) congrats on the av.. i guess you would be one of the top contenders in the what kind of deal did u score posting.. ;)

OK then, what color and how is it equiped? YOu now have an unlimited wod of cash for mods. What is first?
Tractman.Congrats

According to the contest rules I was to get a base 2wd and the colour was subject to availability. Hell I would have taken any colour but when I went to pick it up Chevy had given up a 4x4 (DEALER SAID 2WD WERE HARDER TO GET?) and it was a forest green, I loved it.It's a base model with the bench seat, but I was wanting seating for six anyway. I have no immediate plans for mods but since discovering this website I'm getting lots of ideas. Thanks to all for the well wishes and this great site, you're good people.

Huge grats on your win! Now you'll just have to convince your wife to let you use a piece of your down-payment money that you were shopping with on goodies for the Avalanche. If you start with practical stuff like a bed tent that you can take her camping in without having to lie on the ground I be she'll be a fan in no time. :)
