I still own a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche base 1500 and wouldn’t give her up for anything. She has 167,000 still clean and only recent issue was transmission had to be rebuilt.

I still have my 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 base and loves her to death. Wouldn’t trade her for anything.

I ordered my Avy in 02, it's a 03 still have it with around 140K miles on it. Michigan winters and salt haven't been kind to it. I plan on driving it till it doesn't make sense financially to fix things any more. Damn rust!

2002 red 1500 Z71. Bought new from Gilbert, AZ. Always an Arizona truck, though took it up to Utah a couple of times. Now in Tucson. I think about 125,000 miles. Love driving it, yet it has become my airport car.

Recently replaced fogging headlights and parking lights, all four shocks (first time and they weren't leaking), bump stops, steering intermediate shaft, steering shaft bearing, and adjusted the parking brake. Aside from regular maintenance, tires, and a fuel pressure regulator, there have not been any issues. The brake pads are only about half worn and have never been replaced.

Looks close to new and not at all like it is 20 years old. Being garaged its whole life and living in AZ are certainly contributing factors. And I know this may be considered heresy for truck owners, but it is completely stock except for the radio.

Still Have mine, drove and shipped it from Canada to NZ and just hooked a caravan to it for my retirement travel.
Need to add transmission cooler and deep sump.

Mine is a 2004 z66. 75,000 miles. Love this truck. purchased new in 2003. Stays in garage and only comes out in good weather. Never replaced anything but the battery. never replaced brakes. Repair shop said still has 10,000 mile left of the brakes. Sad to say will be selling in a few months. I am going to miss her.

I still have mine. I have been considering going to a 2013. In the meantime, I attempted some paint on the grill and did a temp job of paint on the hood to stop rusting from the pit marks. I just replaced the front and rear lights and I plan to paint the cladding black.
