How Many Avalanche 2500 are here Now, Today?

Good point on the O2's MS2500, they should be changed at around 100K give or take. I could tell the difference when I changed mine somewhere around there..

  X_Indian  I will look on them when I get a chance and see if I can find any name or #'s for you. They came on the truck when I got it from a one owner who just wanted a 2500 for looks and ordered it at the time with out any towing options! I think we have a few more 2500's out there I hope and wish we had more picks of Places and Work that they do!  Donald

You must not know Alaska_AV, it's a Frankenstein. LOL

E load rated tires can handle that with a good hitch.

:B:  You have to love the pic's of a working Avalanche 2500 Beast of Burdon!!

Well got change is still  cruisin, and now thinking of 1 more mod.

I have always noticed a lot of heat coming from that big block under the hood  and I am thinking of putting a 2014
Z 28 air extractor on and thru the hood.
On ebay just the factory open extractor is  about 125$  and it will mean cutting a pretty big hole thru the hood  and fashioning a drip tray  but thats my next mod.

Also today and I guess I should put this in maintenance section  I  found a place on my Avalanche I have never been before  in 12 years of AV ownership!!
and it is a big trap for leaves, in the front door jam there is a flap of  fabric in the lower forward corner  I pulled it back and there are a lot of leaves trapped on both sides just asking for rust to begin. Tomorrows project to clean it out   Even though I have blasted in there at the quarter car washes  and also blasted down thru the front fender air extractors,  there is a LOT of leaves trapped in these 2 areas.  GO check your avy

8.1s  forever    the number  496  just sounds good saying it!!            GOT CHANGE

Love it! Great looking AV...do you have a 3" BL? Seems like there's a lot of space in your tire well!  (y)

Thank you! Haha nope... no BL just too much lift and not enough tire for the time being haha

I have one.  I've been trying to locate some cladding to replace, but even the salvage yards don't have any Avalanches.  Anyone have an inexpensive source for this?  I'm looking for the wheel well trim and the front bumper cover.  Is mine the only one that averages 11 miles per gallon?  Love my truck, had the bad mileage.  Will be selling at some point.  I drive 70 miles round trip to work daily.  Don't know if anyone else does this, but every 5 years or so, I dye the plastic and it looks great.  Can't imagine why no one else seems to do this.

I think the 11 mpg is about average for these beasts.... I plan on swapping in a diesel at some point to help with that. I bought it with the intention of doing the swap in the future.

:help:  How about any of us try to get any 2015 Memorial Day Pic's?  And of our Love ones and friends and of curse The Brute Beast as well?  I wish a safe weekend to all of you and you are all in prayers, be safe & remember how lucky we are to have each other.  Donald

Hey Nebula, you say you dye your plastic. What product do you use to dye it? And you say it lasts about 5 years?
