While at the salvage yard a few weeks ago looking for a couple of things, I came across a perfect condition owners manual with the cover and all factory inserts for another 02. Being the 3rd owner of this AV, I know there's lots missing and having the owners manual inside the glove for me is a great perk. To me it makes the truck feel more whole and complete, though I've yet to get to flipping through it.

How many of us still have it in our glove box?

When I bought my 2004 EXT, it came with nothing.

I was able to find everything on eBay in short order.

My 2003 Z-66 had everything, including the original window sticker and all of the service records since the truck was purchased new by the previous owner.

I have the pdf files for both trucks on my computer and I find myself referring to those more often than the paper copies that stay in the gloveboxes.

Just easier and quicker to get to.

Yes still in glovebox -
I bought truck new about 19.5 years ago

Lots of Owners manuals online... specially since al lthe info in how to operate todays complicated vehicles...
Manufacturers realize how important access to a owners manual is.

My 2004 Z71 came to me in 2017 with owners manual and other stuff in what appears to be a factory folder located inside the glovebox.

I ordered mine back in April of 2002. I still have the window sticker (which didn't have MPG numbers) and owners manual. I think the bottom on one of my seats still has a little bit of plastic around it. It now has about 235,000 miles on it. Been a great truck.

Still have all the original paper work, manual/case it came in, window sticker and brochures.. Picker it up Nov 2001..

Yes the 2500 did not come with the EPA MPG ratings because of the weight, it's considered a heavy vehicle with a gross vehicle weight over 8500 lbs or curb weight over 6000 lbs, It's GVW is 8600 lbs and it's curb weight is around 7000 lbs..

Edit: And the aerodynamics of a shoebox..

I still have the owner manual but the window sticker I think may have been reprinted since I bought it through a back door from GM.

I'm still shocked with all the options how much a 2500 cost

Bought it used so there was no window sticker but it did come with and I still have the owner's manual. 👍

Shocked as in it was super expensive or shocked in that trucks were actually affordable back then?

The merkur was a cool looking ride. I remember wanting one because it looked different.

Picked up my 2005 cheap a couple months ago when guy sold it after someone broke in and messed up the ignition and steering column. Fortunately it still had the original owners manual and leather case. Seems it was the only thing in the glove box they did not steal. lol

'04 Avy z71 233,000 km and I have the manual in great condition and its a pretty good read I might ad. In fact there is almost nothing I'm missing and No mods (yet) pretty stock. Even the original CD player that will eat your disc like a cookie. The amazing thing is that I'm the 10th owner!! A true Sport Luxury Utility Truck
Ooops I forgot. I am missing the spare tire but I think that probably went to the first owner upon delivery to Canada🤭

That was the one part i was sorta-relieved to find missing. Definitely would have been rust-welded in place by now. Did you check for your emergency jack and toolkit? :p
