How Much Did You Pay For Your AV?

I know this is kind of a personal question I think it would be a big help and time saver to those who are looking to buy a new AV.

My question: How much did you pay for your AV out the door? Rebates?

I paid $31,113 for a 2002 4wd 2500 series with side steps and locking rear as the only options. That included a $2002 rebate. Taxes were extra.

I have friends that have paid quite a bit more and quite a bit less. Thanks in advance.

I have a 02' Z66 and I paid 30,500 with T T & L out the door.

~30k 2003 Z71, 8 way leather seats, towing package, cladded side steps and roof rack. Bought it in dec 03.

That does not include taxes, reg, and fees.

I went to Edmunds today to check the price I paid on my AV. My sticker was $37,700. After $4K Rebate and dealer discounts I paid $29,200. That was the price before trade-in, additional cash, taxes, warranty, etc. The dealer I purchased from was Nash Chevrolet in Lawrenceville Ga.

According to Edmunds the dealer invoice should have been $34,007. Subtract the $4K Rebate and It looks if I was about $800 under dealer invoice. I am happy with that price.

I did not get the trade-in value that the used car websites said my old Silverado was worth. They said $5K for a 93 Silverado Extended Cab and I only got $3K. Said it was because it had been wrecked before (It was a minor wreck and the repairs were done by a dealer) and the AC compressor was a little noisy (It has been making noise for years but was still blowing cold air). I tried arguing with them but got no where. But I do not feel to bad since I know that the vehicle I traded in needed electrical work, valve job, and transmission repairs that there little parking lot inspection did not find. Otherwise they would not have given me what they did give me!!! >:D

Also, the dealer was not willing to haggle over the financing. I guess that is where they were going to make up the $800!! Though they did lower the interest rate 1% when I purchased the extended warranty. I guess the additional kickback from the warranty bought that for me.

Here is a cut-n-paste from Edmunds. First price is sticker, 2nd is invoice, 3rd is the Edmunds True Market Value price.

There is an older thread or two about this same topic.......if interested you may want to search for them....or maybe SKIDDY will find and post a link or move this stuff or do something.,.... ;D

I have a '03 Z71 with bench seat, no other options. MSRP was $37K. I got the GM supplier discount which brought it to around $32,900. Add the $4000 rebate and $2000 on GM card points and I paid roughly $26,900 before TTL.

I have a 2003 Blue WBH with full leather and a couple of small options. Sticker was $35,600 and I got it for $24,500 because of rebates, discount and GM Card earnings.

I paid $32,500, everything out the door. 03, purchased late March. Z66 with sport leather bucket seats, CD changer, towing package, and dealer installed VIN etching and "environmental protection" (rustproofing, soundproofing, fabric protection, paint sealer, etc.). I didn't want either of the dealer installed options, but they had those on every AV in their lot (about 10) and at the time they were the only dealer in the state with yellow AVs. (They also had a yellow Z71. I saw a yellow Z71 at a dealer in Terre Haute, Indiana over the weekend. Only other one I've seen in the sourthern half of Indiana.)

Sticker on mine was about 38 for a Z71 with everything but hard cover and full leather.

Dealer discounted to 32, minus 2002 cash back and I had 800 in GMCARD money, came to ?little over 29.

Had a friend of a friend at the dealer

My total rebates were
$2000 rebate
$1000 holiday cash
$250 bonus rebate for GMS qualifying buyers (which I am)
$1650 GM Card Earnings
$500 Coupon for additional GM Card earnings that I got in the mail
-------------
Total was $5400 OFF
But that was off of GMS price!

My sticker was $42,790 - I paid $30,498 after GMS discount and above rebates.

It's called OPTION 1......
Ordered it in Mar with NO MONEY DOWN....
PICKED IT UP IN JUNE with still NO MONEY DOWN....

Oops   I think the first of 60 payments is coming out today... :8:
Its going to take me 5 years to pay off the first tank of gas that the dealer put in.... >:D

Bought mine on Feb 28th 2002 for 32600 out the door, it's a Z-71 and has everything including sunroof but no leather and block heater then got another 1000 off cause I had one of those exploding gas tank certificates. I even got a salesman at the dealer to join the club. If you're in Michigan and looking they had 2 yellow AV's when I was in there last week. One with hardware and one without. Contact "spedster" if you're interested

VIN etching? Enviromental sealing? When I see those at a dealer I run! I hope you didn't pay too much...VIN etching is listed as the #1 dealer scam at www.carbuyingtips.com. (click here to see).

Z66 '03 WBH RED/TAN....MSRP 33,665 - 4000 discount
- 4000 GM rebate - 500 GM conquest - 1600 GM Card $'s
(10,100 total discount) = 23,565. Traded my 02 Z66 with 24,000miles for $21000 = $2565 difference. I went in for a tire rotation and came out with a new truck! I got a 3.29% for 60 months. Lowered my payment by $75 month (although I have to go another year). I couldn't resist. Only problem is that now...my wife CAN resist me!

Sticker was $42,856 on an 03 2500 4wd with everything (except XM). Out the door for $36,000 including CA sales tax & licensing.

Used My Supplier Discount got a Z71 w/o roof rack ,Xm radio or step bars for 36,200 w/5 year exteneded warranty-

I think a better question is would you have paid more and still have gotten the AVY??

How much would you have paid.....??
