how much did you pay for your Av

Hey fellows, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

Just bought a clean 03 wbh and 90,000 miles on it. 4wd z71 package etc. what made me pull the trigger are the heated seats and remote start lol. Anyways, got it for 11,300
Oh and the guy just replaced all the spark plugs, wires, knock sensor and I think he said the o2 sensors. He kept the old parts to show me so I'll have to rummage through it.

I usually scout for better deals but it hit 35 degrees the other night and really wanted to upgrade before any snow hits.

I paid $8000 for my not including tax. Has 155k miles on it, it is an 03 on road edition, red, was kept away from gravel as I can see with the great paint condition. Was not wrecked until after I bought it a Jeep crossed all four lanes coming out of sonic straight into my rear left side panel, totaled his left not that noticeable scratches on my cladding and a small frame dent covered up by cladding no out of cladding damage so my AV is good. My AV has a: Garage door opener panel, electric petals, electric driver seat, and is more tech advanced (besides antenna) than a $25k juke that someone bought and thought they got a good deal (idiot) my truck while driving can cool down and heat up in under 28 seconds (clocked). I love it well over worth my money. God did I get the best deal of my life!

Just got my base model about a week ago.  55,000 miles on it and CLEAN.  The guy that owned it supposedly only drove the truck to Duncan Donuts every morning just to meet his friends for coffee, before he passed away.  It also came with 5 Michelin LTX MS/2s in 285/75r16.  Got it for $8K.

I cant believe how cheap everyone is getting their trucks.  I have been looking at a clean 2006 LT Z71 with leather and 4x4 with only 70k miles.  Its going for $16k.

The prices all depends on where you live, 70,000 miles on a 06 is real low that could effect the price.

I got mine for what I did because it had 170k mi on it and the service 4wd light was on. Took less than 10 min with my soldering iron to fix the 4wd light.  (y)

What do you guys mean by stickered?
Stickered is what the original "Window Sticker Price" was when it was sold new.

I paid close to book on my truck but it was absolutely clean, one paint chip on the passenger door, perfect paint, perfect interior etc. Now if there was some dings, cracked interior, chipped windshield, little things like that I'd probably have spent 2500-3000 less. Clean low mileage trucks and cars hold value better.
Now that said some people walk right into great deals (I'm usually one of those people) but winter was coming quick and I needed to get my summer ride in storage but I don't think I overpaid at all on the contrary I'm super happy with the purchase.

I didn't book that 2006 you mentioned but if it looks showroom new I'm sure they aren't far off the mark in this economy you could probably get them down a ways.

thanks for the responses!  i'm looking at another 2006 but with 97k miles and they are asking $15k. carfax says it was in a side impact collision but no airbags deployed.  It's clean.  but on top of the collision its a northern truck that was brought down here to FL.  so im sure there is rust.  I wish i could find me a deal like everyone else.

For what it's worth, it isn't just the Avalanches.  All trucks are retaining their value.  A friend of mine has a couple of used car lots and frequently buys cars at auctions.  I contacted him because I am looking for a car for my son.  He told me that getting a deal on a car or SUV at auction is easy.  Getting a deal on a truck, not so easy.

$7000.00 but bought as-is with known transmission issue.  Probably wouldn't have spent that much but I fell in love with the yellow

The yellow was why I fell in love with mine too. I paid 14,900 and then found out about a transmission issue though  :E: :beating: but that was in 2010

Got mine for $1300 3 months ago with 189,000 miles. I thought it was pretty high but I don't think any 19 year old has good credit  :E:

189,000 isn't bad on a 02. It should keep you running for long enough to get your moneys worth for sure.  (y)

Its tough to start out with no credit... I sold my Jeep and bought my truck when I was 18 and the payments helped enough by the time I was 19 I was able to buy a house. It just sucks that you need credit to get credit.

You thought $1300 was high... You could part it out and make probably make 10 times your money...

Welcome to the club and Avalanche ownership...

If he thinks $1300 is high, I can't imagine what he will think when the transmission drops out.

:welcome:

Maybe he meant $13,000, then it was high for an 02 1500..

I would hope that he meant $1300.
