how much did you pay for your Av

If I'm correct it is #12 in first post in this thread and is a midgate drain gate:

$35,678.64 out the door with tax, license, and a few accessories on 7/25/2001.

$27k for 2012 LTZ w/38k miles (y)

Just got my 2013 LTZ with 155K miles about a week ago. Had a 2004 with 288K that wouldn't sell for quite a while. The new one was listed for 19,999 with a $5000 discount ($14,999) - they gave me $2000 trade also - net was $12,999 plus 5% state tax. New one has all the standard items and no sun roof or back seat video, which is OK. Small rust below gas filler will be repaired in a week or so. This has AFM so I purchased a lock-out OBC plug. Trying E85 to see if it would pay to use it. If you have pro-or-con about the Range plugin, I'd like to hear it. I didn't see much on this website about it. Maybe I just didn't see it. I don't think the E85 will break even. More later about that as I learn. Ava is beautiful white. Haven't found anything that does not work. Believe it has air ride shocks in rear due to motor running once. Also don't know what red push-button switch left of steering column is for. Push once it lights - push again goes out - looks factory. Got to have a higher degree than 8th grade to read the book.

I see you joined years ago.....hope you feel comfortable using the search functions on the website to learn about your AV. It helps if you ask the question in the appropriate section and one topic at a time to get most replies. It also helps to post photos of things so members don't have to guess which thing you are talking about. (there are threads on the site to teach you how to post photos FYI.) Not sure if you have an owner's manual or not but you can read a PDF version on this site here:
https://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/assets/files/resources/model-years/owner-manuals/2013-chevy-avalanche-owners-manual.pdf

Not sure if the hazard switch is what you are referring to but section 6-5 in your manual has a diagram of the switch.

As far as learning what features and options your AV came with look inside the glove box for a list of RPO codes on a sticker. You can check that list of RPO codes with the older threads explaining the RPO codes to see what should be on your AV.

Many older threads about the Range device too. Good luck with your AV!

Hi Vaeagleav, Many thanks for the information. I figured out the OEM looking switch -  it was for the warning lights he had on the roof attach with large rubber suction cups that left a ring. At least that is what I think now.
I'll check the RPO codes. Glad to know where they are. I'll have to make some time to read this users forum.

We got our Avalanche for $3,500 in February 2020. 238k miles with the bed cover and working 4x4. We are in FL and love to go trail riding. So the 4x4 is awesome to have.

2003 cladding 98k $800.00

Picked my 05 Z71 for $7gs from a car lot. Only had 148k on it and a one owner truck. Feels like i got over being I couldn't find one under $10gs that wasn't a basket case.

Nothing. Just tags title registration. 05 z71 fully loaded every option that pewter color with 187k showing but not varifiable as I know it’s not the original cluster. Has cost me quite a bit since owning it for just a couple weeks but hopefully I’m at the end of the list if it’s gremlins finally

Just bought an 02 1500 2wd for $2800 with 206K miles. Put about $700 in it for new spark plugs, oil pan (was cracked and leaking), oil pan gasket, sparkplug wires, oil change and filter, door pins, diff oil, pcv valve, air filter, changed the coolent, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. Now I am just working on undoing 18 years of bad wiring hacks. Runs and drives great though.
