Well I got my truck fixed today. It was only about a couple pounds of dirt/sand wedged between the wheel and the brake on my front left tire and it didn't cost me a dime. (y) The guy at NTB laughed at me though.

Great news  :B:

I didn't manage to get so much caked up on mine. Course I didn't horse around in the donut pit as much as you did, either

Do you have pic's of the off roading? I checked the STI site and didn't see any :(

There are a few over in another thread. I know lots were taken, so I'm sure they'll be posted soon.

hey mudbug,

I was told today to see a shrink so it's not just those that meet me on the weekends that think that...but i do my best to keep us all entertained...

Hey hoss,
Tell moma Jo that i don't take meds but the alcohol helped my disposition on SAt night...And for all the fun i had SAt night, I more than paid for it all Sunday when i was mega hung over and dehydrated plus cooking in 95 deg heat while playing offroad...

I heard some people wondered if my Av was still underwarranty the way i did soo many donuts both forwards and backwards...and yes it is...but i was watching the temp and oil pressure while donuting...

I was glad to meet everyone and am looking forward to the next gtg...Remember 4x4'ing is a must for GTG's I think those that came sunday to the track will agree...

Hey,
I didn't need a 4x4 to join in the fun.
I think that my Z66 performed just fine, heck maybe better that some of your Z71's in the Donut Hole. ;D ;D ;D
After driving to Litchfield Beach and then back to Charlotte, NC, I still have dirt, sand, and mud caked in my wheel rims...on the inside.
That was really fun.
I'll see if I can post a short quicktime clip on the STI website...If David will let me. ;)

I know what you mean, brother. The same thing happened to me when I buried the Lanche last year near my house... Check out this mess:

mud_wheel.jpg

I literally used a hammer and screwdriver to get out this mud that turned to concrete. My wheels were shaking and shimmyin all over the place.

i had a good time as well. got to meet some members. see their trucks. got some ideas! >:D how about BigBlocks' bumper? ;D
sorry i ahd to leave like i did. once i left the school where we had lunch. which was good btw, my truck had gotten worse. for those of you who don't know my truck was making a loud metal-to-metal "clanking" noise when the steering wheel was being turned. also it did this when going over something like a speed bump.
when i got home a friend and i did some investigating. when the steering wheel was turned the upper control arm forward bolt would move along with the control arm. conclusion. bolt was never tightened after alignment on Thursday before i left. :8:
took truck back yesterday. they verified that's what it was. truck is still there. i sat home and thought about the whole situation last night. i am pretty mad. i raised little to no hell yesterday. today i will demand my money back which was $75. then i want the service ticket to say, "we did the alignment, did not tighten control arm bolt." not "customer complains about noise when brake is applied." which was one of the things i told them it did. it was not the problem. i talked to the tech while he was under the truck. he told me it was the very bolt i suspected was loose. i did not think to ask if he was the idiot that left it loose. :8: :7: seems they are trying to weasel out of their responsiblity.
that's it for now! had a good time anyway. the above situatio kinda put a damper on my weekend though. hope everyone made it home safe.

I only got to stay from Friday until Sat lunch time. I received a call just as we were leaving the charity lunch, my mother had to be put into the hospital :6: :6: - she's been sick for a while.
(I'm the only son she have within 500 miles, so off I went)
I had a good time - thanx. (y)
I met a lot of AVers this weekend - you are all good people. I hope to get to know you guys better at the next GTG. :B:
To the AVers I travelled down with in our little caravan: Wvusquatch, 02_Z66, Earthquake, and Musiks - THANKS.
I still think Wvusquatch needs to calbrate his speedo. 75 doesn't = 83. ;)
Hey, looking back on the speed and distance - 02_Z66, I think you were very lucky you didn't have the bolt to loosen up were more mechanical problems would occur, or worse even - fall out.
This was my first GTG - I wish I could have stayed for the raffle, and especially for the Hummer track. It looked like everyone had a GREAT TIME!!
I hope to stay for the next GTG........WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE? ??? ??? ???
Thanx again,
Troy

TRzAV,
Sorry to hear about your mother and hope all works out. All of us here on the board are wishing her well.

Now on to the next GTG, maybe you could join us for the Mountain Cruise. Hope so.

 Had an absolute BALL. Deva and I can't remember having so much fun and being around such a great bunch of peolpe as we did at the STI GTG. It was my first but it won't be my last. I am anxiuosly awaiting the next one. Got my mod list together and can't wait to start. Thanks again to everyone , and especially you Tinman, for a wonderful time. Take care and God Blesss you all. :B:

I forgot to mention this before...but I think William looked like he had the most fun of us all!!

Especially on that HUMMER course...that man is a lunatic! He had his windows down, blariing some wild azz rock!!! PUMPING his fists and singing along! I think I even saw him do an air guitar while in the middle of doing donuts! Gimme some of what he had!!!

Glad you had a blast William, it was fun just watching you!

Mud!

William,
Anybody that cranks AC-DC while doing donuts is a friend of mine.
I had mine going as well.
David is posting my donut video to the STI website.
All of the Hummer track/Donuts will be on the DVD that I'm producing.

Glad you and the wife had fun, and hope to see you at the next GTG.
Take care my friend.

BootheRedneck, Mudbug(back), AJ, BigBlock

You guys are nuts! LOL That's why I love ya all!! ;D

BIG thanks to mmdavidw, he fixed my strobes! WOOHOO!!! I'm so happy! BTW, this is my fav pic of my AV that was taken...me and Ed have decided that the reason my neon comes out blue in some pics rather than purple is that Pete was looking down saying "Ohhhhh no girlfriend, purple is for da goo!" >:D

I hope I made him proud though!

http://www.eastcoastavalanche.com/savannah/pictures/2003_october_09_25.jpg

Had a blast with A.J., Janell and Ed on the dolphin cruise and lanman1 is STILL the mudslide king in my book!

bikerchic's AV is awesome with it's purple accents...I don't know where to stop!!

Tinman you did a great job, I had a great time at the Outback Steakhouse eating dinner with everyone....me and William bonded over the Chocolate Chocolate Tower (YUM!)...

Oh and for all who knows, I'm off to the doctor at 2pm...woohoo!

Looking forward to seeing all the pics and for the next meet!

WAIT WAIT! One person I can't forget....Frank....my dub bro....stay 20 inches strong in Kentucky, I hope to see you at another meet sometime!

My advice for everyone for the next GTG.......GET GLOW BAY-BEE!!

Ok ok, one more thing! I just remembered...GMAN, was going to tell you I remembered why the back of my CargoPro was bowed a little (doh, it just dawned on me :2: ) I had 8 or so bumper flags in tow and they rested on that back lip and they were just so heavy it bent the tub a little...no big thang though...had to post though, it was going to bother me, hehe...

;D

So where is the pic of AJ being stuck!! Did it happen to be anywhere near a lake or pond!! Sorry Beerman!!!
Wvusquatch
Quite all right, Squatch...

Unlike most people, I'm proud that I got stuck. At least I know the limits of my Lanche...

And, it wasn't really stuck. It took a simple 1 second tug from Tree Hugger, and I was free!

No, I didn't get stuck in the pond, but I did play around a bit in the pond.

yeah you were sorta stuck, but you woulda been way stuck if a certain someone hadn't been yellin at you across the pond ;)

BTW, looks like I might have a new Black or Metallic Silver instead of Red....still shopping :)

Seems like I missed a good show Sunday having to leave so soon. Rob; I had to go or you wouldn't have been by yourself Z66-ing it ! ! Can you say nekkid and dirty! ;D >:D ;D

Glad to see all made it back in good shape. Patrick; I believe the quote was "nothin but LOVE brotha" -- Mama Jo's still laughing - Was it 23 or 32  ??? Again, we had a blast Will do this again and more often. Looks like Mama Jo might be wanting join the board so watch out !
One plug and anyone else coming down this way == The door is always OPEN
But, It is official ...I thought I could control it; a little here and there but, no..SO, ..I joined The A-M-A today ??? Jo's not happy >:D
AVALANCHE MODDERS ANONYMOUS:love:

I expect to see you all at the meetings (a.k.a GTG's)
