i dont know if i wanna know...spoiler , grill taillight covers/painted/bowtie painted nerf bars, line of fire
bug gaurd..of all my mods the line of fire draws alot of comment's . i must say it looks pretty cool at night.

More than I will ever admit to my wife. ;D

None for me..... zip, zero, zilch! I'm keeping her smooth and quiet. No loud exhausts, bellowing air intakes, moaning tires, or jerky wandering suspensions. I bought this beauty in part for its smooth quiet ride and I am going to enjoy it. Now I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but, IMO...Most mods decrease resale, ride quality, and reliability in the long run. But mine is a keeper for at least 10 years or more.

BlueZ71, come on now, there are a ton of things you can do without affecting ride, resale, or reliablity. that just hurts. :6:
but, i bet i know who has more at the end of the month after the truck payment is sent off. :-[ i'm really trying to restrain. i am!
one way to look at it is you do have a Z71 that comes pretty well equipped as it is. :B:

I'm sure, got change, mentioned mod $$s a while back, and voted, but as I ve read a bunch of posts, here I got to thinkin"

Its not only the money, how many hours of your life, have you spent over, under around, and thru your av, either contemplating a mod, or actually adding the mod.

I have found myself, lying on the driveway, just looking under the av, for a mod idea, for something to do, instead of watching tv, or whatever.

I think, the old song, was ...all I want to do is have some fun...... and still, after over a year my av is fun!!!

I got my AV on Dec 7, discovered this web site on Dec 23, and have spent well over $500 already. After spending hours reading messages in this forum I have a list of mods a mile long, and a wife wondering if she should leave me. What can I say, I love the AV! :)

Oh how this story sound familiar - The repeated tale of the AV mod bug. :cautious: Let me just say if you do it right she will stay ;) (I mean modding) Mine has not left me yet! I am way past 500 dollars. Of course I dont think she knows how far past >:D

As I look back this is one of my better hobbies/sins,at least I am having fun and have something to look at /use when done.

Oh my..... I wish I would not have just added that up! I'm glad my wife is not sittin' here. She gets pissed off enough about the race car! :-X

I?ve added a bunch of things since Nov. I?m moving up into the $5000.00 range.

Use my links below and check out some pictures for the latest mods. (sign the guestbook)

I haven't spent nearly anything close to what I thought I would have by now.....just not in the budget right now...but surely one day I can add the supercharger I want, and some cosmetic enhancements....takes some time....damn bills! :8:

caddy ext sail panel replacement/priceless
house of kolor paint of my choice/priceless
new 20 inch chrome rims and tire choice/priceless
all around fiberglass replacement cladding/priceless
ground effects and front air dam/priceless
rolling my truck to give me the chance to do the above/$38,810.24

gandolphxx,

Did you ever get those Hood Scoops. Do you know where I could find them. I saw a Black Ave today with them. It looked really good. I didn't have time to stop and talk to the guy though.

Thanks!!

gandolphxx,
I think you might be looking for functional ones but if it's just the look you want then here you go.

Well my total has gone up some. I was only in the $200-$300 range with Xenon Lights, Billet Grill, Flag Bowtie, etc. But with the $1800 on Pioneer Naviagation/DVD player I've cracked the $2000 barrier.

I wouldn't exactly call yourself an "Avalanche Rookie" any more. :)

Good point. Maybe I should consider an identity change. How about Avalanche Freak?

I should probobly attend A.A. (Avalanche Anonymous) meetings for my A.O.C.S.D. problem.

Yes, you're definitely not a rookie any more. Welcome to the dark side!! >:D

i am also interested in painting the claddings. i saw one but i do not like the shiny look. he paid $1500 for it. the paint chips easily when door dinged. that is what i like about the av because i have no fear of door dings right now. so does anyone know how to paint the claddings but keep the rough plastic look? i have heard of the plastic dye. i bought a piece of cladding and experiment on it but failed. the dye came of like acrylic paint. but it was also a aerosol can vinyl paint actually. if anyone knows a plastic dye paint brand i would really appreciate it. i will test it and tell you how it went.

Lets see...6" RCD lift kit, 33" MTR's, Eagle Alloys, Tint, K&N FIPK II, Misc mods....I've spent well over $5000! The sad thing is...I'm still not done!
