OK, I don't know much about lifts for the AV, but short of spending lots of money on a lift kit, is there an easy and cheap way to make a small lift (say like 2 inches)? ???

Someone else told me that you can buy spacers or shims for the suspension and then jack the AV up and place these shims above the springs. Does anyone know about this stuff? Thanks!

I assume you are trying to lift the front. The easiest way is to crank your torsion bars if you have enough adjustment. I don't think you are going to get 2" from them. The alternative is to install the Ford keys. Follow this link

It all depends on what you are willing to give up?

life expectancy of parts? quality? ride? looks? money?

I would lean more to the body lift for the best of the least expensive ways to lift your AV... I beleive it is usually about 100 bucks an inchh for a body lift installed.

Another way to get a taller AV without a major investment would be thinner and taller tires. Thinner may allow you to run a little taller tire before it rubs... it will only be an inch or so in over all gain.
