How wide can I go?

I read a lot on here about the how tall you can go with tires before they rub, but how about width? As I said before, I want this beauty to look like a beast, but I don't want it to ride like a beast. I do a lot of highway miles and not as much true "Offroad". I want wheels that, not only stand out, but ones that stick out. Ones with a deep dish, is that what it is called?

When thinking about wider rims/tires, what will I need to do with my lift? Does this make a differents on suspention/body lift? Will I need to go higher than 3-4in.? How BIG ( wide/tall) can I go without lifting?
I still don't know a lot about this, but I am learning.... Thanx to you guys and my local truck shops. .. Mainly you guys! (y) :B:

I think I want rims that are like 16X10..??.. ??? ??? And I am thinking about maybe some 31's or 32's..??.. ??? ???

Tell me, am I going in the right direction?

Thanx again for all your help!!! :B:

You already have 32's (actually 31.6" but that's a normal 32). If you want wider tires in the external diameter, you have to increse the first number and decrease the second in your tire size, and the rim size would be dictated by the tire manufacturer for that tire (they normally specify a range). For tires significantly wider you would also have to have a wheel with less backspacing (different offset).
You really need a lot more info, starting, probably, with which tires and how wide.
You might want to try discussing with a good tire store. They can at least, show you what they've got, and show you stuff... And I'm sure they get a lot of people who start out just knowing they want wider tires, and then guiding them through all the related choices...

That being said, I think some people on here can discuss what they chose to do, and their experience, too.
HTH.

Hey AveGuy, I just got a 325/60/18 which is 33" tall and 12.8" wide on a 18x9 rim and it rubs considerably in the front. Had to do some major triming of the wheel well. Because the wheel has a deeper dish than stock it made the rubbing even worse. Stock wheels have a zero offset and 5.5" of backspacing which keeps them under the wheel well.
