If you are on or close to the east coast BE CAREFUL! Isabel is said to be the strongest storm in the Atlantic in a hundred years! If you want to get away from the storm you are welcome to head to the CENTRAL INDIANA MODDING GTG! We will have close to 50 Avalanches here and nearly that many great items to give away and install. This event takes place on September the 20th and then we will go out for breakfast and DYNO TESTING on Sunday the 21st. All Are Welcome!

Thanks for the warning.... I'm in southern Ontario.... Booked flight to Vancouver... and staying for a couple of nights on Vancouver Island, before heading up to Alaska....

Do you think, that will be far enough away?

I look at it this way. If the storm hits anywhere below New York, Long Island will eventually get it. I feel that by the time this storm reaches the US it will no longer be a Cat 5. It will probably slow down to a Cat 3. Generally, when storms like this hit the coast they end up riding the coast straight up.

It should be intersting. I have been tracking this storm since it was about 1000 miles east of the Leewards.

I would love to go to you GTG. Thats a fantastic price you guys got for the Dyo Runs. I would love to see waht my truck is putting out now.

As it looks, if the storm will not threaten Long Island, I will be heading to Providence Rhode Island otherwise I will be able to play in a Rugby Game close to home.

Would really like to come out but...

Guess I'll wait and see what happens here in Delaware. Waiting to see if they are going to reschedule Dover's NASCAR races. Still up in the air at the moment.

If so, I'll be battening down the hatches...

I'm just takin' it day by day, being south of Sunrise highway on Long Island can be testing at times, I have a few very old somewhat weak trees to worry about too.

Fast Eddie,
Pleasure to meet you, from someone who grew up in Seaford, are you north or south of Merrick Rd?
:B: (y)

I'll give reports from Maryland. It's supposed to hit us right after Virginia.

TE

I live in Long Island. I expect that we will receive a lot of rain and some gusty wind but nothing of Hurrican Strength. WHo knows, its even possible that it will not be a hurricane by the time it hits North Carolina.

What part of NJ? I just moved here to McGuire AFB and have yet to meet up with any club members.

Dave,

I think I spotted Him Sunday Morning on Rt 73 in Marlton .

Hey all... gotta add my 2 cents.
In NJ we are probably going for a windy rainny day BUT the shore is going to get pounded by High surf and coastal flooding. Nuthing like your typical nor' easter to brighten your day huh? Anyways got get to the shore Wed to get my boat out of the water and moved inland, Im not taking any chances. Hope everyone gets threw this without much trouble especially or fellow AVers in the Carolinas and Virgina.

Depends on work schedules ??? Jacqui starts her new job tonight and I still don't know what schedule I'm going to be on. Of course, if I do go, you could always caravan with me :0:

I'll bet anyone that this Pathetic excuse for a Hurricane will be downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it makes landfall on thursday!

I live in Franklin, VA right in the path of Isabel if it doesn't change course. I'm presently looking for someplace safe to put my AVy.

I would hate for it to get damaged. :8:
