Checking in to see how our east coast members are fairing out. I was also wondering if anyone knows how far north the floods are affecting? My fianc?s family lives in Engelhard NC and we haven't heard from them since yesterday morning.

Man they were between a rock and hard place. Lakes behind them and the ocean in front.

Here is a traffic map (Green lines) notice no lines down that way.

I see a little traffic by creswell, they are further south than that by the lake like you were saying. From what we understand they live right on the beach. We were in contact with his sister yesterday via snapchat, last one we sent was at 1:57 and hasn't been opened. Hoping the best.  :needhug:

Google maps uses Cell towers to monitior traffic I hope they did not try to ride it out and got the hell out of there.  They were waaay to close to the Ocean and they probably had mandatory evacuation. I wouldn't worry for a couple of days.

No use starting another post so did everyo?e survive Florence ???

No major issues here at this point. Still waiting for the river to crest but it?s no where near the house.
Son made it through things ok as they lost power for a few days.

That is good to see, that was a lot of rain.

Heading down to Wilmington Area next week with my trailer loaded with relief supplies. Working with a group that has been doing this the past couple years, just been waiting for the flooding to subside and interstate 95 to reopen
