Hypertech Settings w/ Liftkit ??

El Cid 01, I see you have a flowmaster exhaust. Is it duals and did that help out mileage at all? Sorry don't know about the lift.

I did the K&N, exhaust, and hypertech at one time. Noticed a huge difference in performance but not so much in gas mileage. Seemed to be about the same. Not true dual exhaust though. Two outlets, one muffler.

Starting points for the Hypertech for '04 are 2, 4, 5 for the shift points, firm shift, performance upgrade. You will need to measure your tires to insert the correct tire diameter for speedometer correction.

I have a Fabtech 6" and 305/70R17's . I set my hypertech to +2, +9, +9 after reading all those past postings. I am very happy with these settings and feel like I got back the power I lost when I lifted/bigger tires on it. If you don't like these settings you a can always change them to something else. I set the rev limiter to 5800 and now it shifts into it's last gear at about 85-90mph! Very nice, but a little scary in a lifted vehicle. Breedlove

I have heard that the Hypertech can only correct the speedo for tires up to 33. Is that true? I have 35 inch tires. I would really like to get the speedo correct again.

Response from Hypertech:

"The tire size range is determined by how you answer the question
"Is your vehicle equipped with Traction Assist (Auto Trac)? Choosing NO
will give you a range of 24-44 inches in diameter. Choosing YES will
give you a range of 24-33 inches in diameter. If you have Traction
Assist we can not go above 33 inches. "

So yes, the Hypertech can handle tires above 33". My Z71 does not have autotrac so I went ahead with the programming. My big issue is "shift points". I've been experimenting with different settings.

I dont think my hypertech (for 2002) has the Auto Trac question. I believe the max height on it is 34".

4.56 gears are also the limit...I would have liked to have went with 4.88s but is not an option with that programmer.

The one I had for my '02 didn't ask about Autotrac, and the one that I have for my '03 doesn't either.
