I miss my Avv and want her back !

Asking for good will and Prayers from the Avalanche group. Was contacted today out of the blue by the fellow that has my truck. I hate to get my hopes up again but thinking perhaps this time may be the time. Been waiting and no communication. But looking like he may be ready to move. Some back and forth today and my offer still good so we shall see. Some good mojo from the group cant hurt!

OK I am happy to update such as it is.

Still in the hunt that has been frustrating to say the least simply because the fellow that owns it right now is a very nice
guy for sure, but he is not a good communicator at least with me anyway.

We are still talking for sure, but he will text a bit and then you dont hear from him for a long while and then he will come back etc..
Still dont understand why its taking so long but I am happy to wait as long as I need too. On May the 26th he confirmed that he is going
to sell the truck as soon as the legal stuff is settled. And said he hoped we could come to a mutual agreement. I have made a couple of offers
on the truck and he seemed like I was in the ball park, but has not yet stated what he would take for the truck. On Jun 27th he said he was
waiting for his attorney to sign a release of some kind on the truck and then he would be back in touch with me.

Have not heard anymore since, but impression was he was close to ready to move etc. That's what makes it tough is you get a flurry of
back and forth and it looks like its about to happen and then you just don't hear from him for a bit. In addition he has never thrown out
a price on his side at all so I don't really know what he is thinking. He has said he will sell me the truck, and has not made any negative statements
about my offers but I still don't know. I will buy it back for any reasonable price, but cant go crazy money on it and I still have to spend a bit to get her back in shape. Truck has sat outside the whole time since it was hit and prior to that it never did. So I will have to go check her out pretty
well when the time comes. I could be there tomorrow with my trailer and cash, but its got to be a deal I can live with and not make the wife
to mad. She is opposed as she thinks it will end up being more trouble than I think to fix, but I know I can do it so I will if given the chance.

He took really good care of it when he was driving it all the time, and the one time I got to see her up close she was holding up ok, but that
was 7 or 8 months back. I am hoping everyday for that call that he is ready to go. I will be a happy guy the day I post on here she is back in my shop..
 
I feel the same, I had a gun metal gray North face that I regret getting rid of every day.. now I know not to take that lightly..😔
 
Ya I almost pulled the trigger on a 2021 used silverado 4x4.
Then I decided against the payments and large down payment.
I average 200-300 a year into the avyvto keep her running, I've had no car payments for 15 years

Believe me I know that feeling too, my husband bought a 2020 2500 duramax which we did get a good price for new with our 2018 gas trade in for about $48,000 and the price tag for that same truck now is crazy..if it wasn't the old dealership I worked for years, I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger and now I'll keep that truck just like I keep my AV's..got a bumper to bumper warranty with Carshield..
 
Well folks I am afraid its time to close out this thread. Was finally contacted by the current owner last week with a update he was giving up on all the haggling with insurance etc and was ready to move on and sell the truck etc etc. Long story short I loaded up the trailer this morning with cash in hand and set out to see her and hopefully do a deal with the proviso that I wanted to inspect her in great detail before pulling the trigger etc. Had not been able to see the frame or under the hood etc. I am sad to say that my old friend is simply beyond repair as far as I am concerned.

It was down right painful to see what the wreck and two years of sitting have done to the pristine vehicle I wish I had never sold. The frame is toast, the engine was loose from both mounts, the exhaust had been cut up so the cats could be stolen, the rubber was all rotted and cracking, ample evidence of critters nibbling on the wiring etc. Well beyond my time and the cost it would take to bring her back. I cannot imagine they would not total the truck all of which convinces me the stories I have been hearing are less than accurate to say the least. My old friend is gone and I don't imagine she is coming back. Drove home with an empty trailer and a sad heart. The search for a newer one resumes..
 
Well Wooo Hooo to all. Its finally happened! Just pulled the trigger on a one owner 2011 from Mississippi!!

Almost identical to my 07 as far as colors and options etc. She will arrive here on the transporter Saturday!!

I am back in the Avalanche Club, Let the Modding begin!!!!
