:0:OK, so Gm decides to let little ole me to build my own custom AV. What would it be? ??? Don't flame this too much but here goes:

Start with a 2004 WBH 4X4 but make it a 2500. Add the Duramax diesel >:D and the Allison transmission. Instead of just a regular WBH, I want to use the front clip and the side panels from a Denali XL. And the cab lights from the 3500 series truck. The interior would be Denali parts in Graphite leather.

The stereo would be upgraded to an aftermarket DVD setup and XM. Of course a mild lift would have to be added after delivery so I could fit the custom wheels with 33"s or 35"s. Probably the Robbie Gordon's with Nitto's. The front bumper would be replaced with a Stealth AV Prerunner, but I would keep the DRL and driving lights function as normal.

Hmm, anybody have an extra $70K+ I can borrow? How about a company that needs ideas for a show truck? ;D ;D

Why not make a 3500 Av? I've often wondered about this. Because there are only 1500 and 2500 Suburbans, so too the Av is cast this way. But a 3500 Av (with the Duramax diesel) would be awesome for monster towing. I know they don't usually recommend towing over 12,000# on a hitch, and since the Av can't 5th wheel, maybe a 3500 is pointless. But I've often thought of it for more cargo-carrying posture...

how about an Av dually?
You can run a dually with the 2500 - it has the same full floater rear as the 3500 - of course you have to deal with the fenders - I have considered it for the track ^^

The frame is a problem with the Allison - the diesel would drop in.
