This is one of my current MOD projects ...

White Face Gauges by day / 7 Color Indiglo by night
gauges1.jpg
I completely removed the OEM overlay and replaced it with the Unitedindiglo gauges. ?The new overlay is made of the same type material and uses the OEM fonts. ?They claim no bubbles or deformation will occur.

This is the switch for the gauges (under the traction assist). ?The button on the left cycles through the different colors (green/light green to blue/violet). ?The right button controls the brightness.

I did trim the plastic piece over the odometer. ?I will be replacing with some tinted plastic. ?I will keep you updated how they hold up over time. ?I will POST some glowing night photos soon.

Anyone else try these or other Indiglo Gauges for their AV?

Goo, very nice!!
I like that... a lot! You forgot to through out the cost.

Let me know the cost as that is sharp.

These were from the ebay auction. I was the first one to bid on them and everyone was kind enough to not raise the cost on me. I received 4 e-mail/PM's about them. They normally sell for $65 - $89 dollars on the net. Everyone let me win them $40.95 shipped ;)

I am working on improved instructions/installation suggestions for the vendor. If these do work out for me I will recommend them and setup a club discount for us.

Mine are on the way. the GF ordered them for me for a late B-day present. She told me about it and now I'm having to patiently wait..... what kind of torture is that?

Let me know when you receive them so I can give you my updated installation suggestions. The instructions they come with are not the best.

I like mine so far ;D

Looks cool Goo, maybe after the MF cruise this weekend you can give us another light show in the evening and show us how these work and look.

I'll bet they look cool at night.

If you flip on all of those black lites in your cab, won't the white faces glow anyway? ;D

I thought that button was for the oil slick you could spray behind you, to keep the ricers at bay..... :D:

Goo, thanks for sharing. ?Did the instructions mention if the kit works if you have the transission temp gauge?
No it doesn't.

This kit doesn't have the trans gauge.

I would not recommend trying to modify this kit to do it.

Any night pictures yet? I'm interested in the installation instructions also, I want to see how much work is involved before I decide what to do.

Also, any thoughts on where to place the control switch if you have the four wheel drive buttons to the left of the steering wheel? Thanks

After doing some research, I decided that it is best to kill the backlighting on the gauges that used to light up the factory overlay. It's not necessary since the new gauges have their own glow and will look a lot better. I need to find the wire that does it. I will post pics when I do it.

You can put the switch anywhere. I don't adjust it once I have it set on my favorite glow. I thought it looked cool in the location I put it.

Hurry up with those night time pics Goo.

geesh >:D

How can I decide If I want that or not without some night time pics?

I just installed my pair of indiglow gauges yesturday... and I took alot of pics... I should have them in 2 days! I will have to say that may have got the best deal ever on them! I got a brand new set of indiglow gagues... with many colors and a switch to flip through the colors... and it has a knob for the brightness. (I mounted the switch outa the way... but i forgot to get pics of it.) after a little work... and some help from goo, I was able to install them myself. and they look great! I highly recommend this mod to anybody!
