Installing cladding on a 2006 WBH model

I recently purchased a 2006 that is a without body hardware model and I would like to install all the cladding. I have read in these forums about using 3M adhesive tape to install but worry about the longevity and haven't seen anyone post an update regarding longevity. Also where to acquire the cladding? We have a few junkyards in my area that I am guessing I could find and remove the cladding from. Also I have significant rust coming up from the bottom of the truck and was wondering if someone had a good rust reformer to paint on, I dont really care how it looks because it will all be covered by the cladding. Thank you

not gonna be easy since all side panels and hood and grill and bumpers and etc etc etc are different.
So you cannot easily attach cladding to a WBH.
Also cladding uses clips and double sided tape.

Best bet... go get lower half rhino coated... to look like cladding.

Or better yet, find a cladded model and buy it.

I agree with above posters, it is not cheap or easy to add cladding to a WBH AV. Please spend some time doing a search for older threads where cladded AV owners have removed their cladding to treat hidden rust or repair accident damage etc. You will see that the underlying metal panels are different from your WBH AV panels.
You also mention just wanting to paint the rusted panels you have with a rust preventative or sealer and then cover it up with plastic. To me that is like puting a band-aid on a cancer. If you plan to keep your AV for a long time you should spend the money to do it right by cutting out the rust and replace with new metal then paint it or as mentioned have Line-X sprayed on the lower panels to look like a cladded AV, You can find old threads by doing a word search that shows photos of owners who have put that finish on their AV.

So that's what I was getting at when I talked about a good rust reformer, I wasn't planning on spray painting the rust and calling it a day, if I were to have the Line-X sprayed onto the lower half of the vehicle where the cladding normally goes, would that be sufficient rust abatement or would I still have to cut it out, weld new plate on, and then do Line-X? Thank you

If you have rust now... you need to repair it or let it slowly eat your truck panels.
