Interior Light Questions

Well my kids some how broke out the red reflector in the rear door. Before I replace the reflector (Where would I get one??) I was wondering if its possible to put in lights there instead of just reflectors?

I'm not very electrically inclined so If its a complete rewiring then I'm pretty much done. But its not that large of a project then I'm game.

I'd love to start modding my Av since I've had it for going on 2 years now and the only mods I've done were Ambers, 6" lift, 35" tires and 17" wheels.

I still have my Maglite brackets for the mag mod but have never gotten around to doing it..

Sounds like my 2005 Avalanche with just reflectors. You'd probably need some help wiring the rear doors for working lights. Might be worth your while to attend a GTG in your area to help with a mod like that.

yep, it is possible to put lights in. Several members have done that mod. I just cant seem to find the thread. Hopefully, someone will chime in soon and point you in the right direction.

Yes a bunch have done this mod it is somewhat time consuming but easy.

How much does it cost for all the required equipment? Or where should I look for the equipment?

Get the lens from the dealer. They were about $16 each plus wire, bulbs and connectors. make sure you order the lenses from an 02 or 03. Some like my self have added LED scanners or you could just order 2 - 12 LED bulbs from
www.superbrightleds.com If you go with the LEDS you might as well upgrade all the other interior bulbs in the truck. If you have lighted side mirrors get those done as well. LEDs are the way to go. Just pick a color.
