I'm not sure what this is called but I need a new one for my rear left door because it feel out when my son closed the door and it won't stay in because one of the clips is broke.  What is this called exactly? Does anyone have a part number for it?  Do you have any idea what I'm talking about?

Got pic?

Do you mean the thing that covers the edge of carpet and goes over door threshold?

I'll have to go and see if a part number is on the lens.  Didn't think about that.

I thought about that but doesn't this cover up a screw that needs to be removed when removing the door panel.

not that I remember ... should be two screws .... one uder the grab handle for the door and the other on the very bottom inside corner of the panel ....

There's an arrow behind the lens pointed to a split in the covering but I'm not sure what's behind the split.

hum .... still don't think that is a screw ... I had an '03 and all it had was 2 screws on each door ... one just above the door handle/just below the grab handle and the other one on the ver bottom inside of the door panel ....

'04's could be different but I don't think so ....

Good excuse just to install door scanners instead of replacing the reflector.

Or just add the rear lights.

I think that arrow and split is used for assembling the internal door hardware.  Maybe location for the rear door light harness when it still existed.

Could it be for the window regulator?

how about a dab of silicone? should hold it fine and be easily removable if needed

Duct tape is even easier, and can match the door panel color fairly closely! :)

I'd junkyard hunt a lens, seriously - Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche/Yukon/Escalade/EXT should all match up, even a crew cab Silverado/Sierra

I upgraded the reflector with some LEDs behind and some foot well LEDs. Fishing the wire up the center column and through the door flex conduit was tricky but okay if you are good poking around with a long straight piece of welding wire. They stay in place but if the clips/door panel are worn I agree with using a small amount of silicone. Should stay and be able to peel off when needed.

Just to add my two cents...
On my door reflector lights I had both the kens separate and the plastic tabs break. I used CA glue for the lens to secure it to the white plastic housing and built those small tabs using... Epoxy...
Mine seem to hold in place well except for one where I failed to get the epoxy lines up enough. That one has some play but remain in place.
The CA glue I used was starbond medium thickness glue and the epoxy was JB weld, white and gray.
They do sell replacements on Amazon but why spend money when it can be fixed?
