Only mod so far is custom painted bowtie
New wheels & tires next week
Next mods: leveling kit, +2" shocks, rear pucks, Cupholders, Strobes in grill (Fire & Rescue 1st responder) Exhaust and whatever else I find on here that I like. LOL

Just checking in, fellow Iowa AV owners.

Just added an AV to the family late Feb 2011. I reside in Altoona, but am out and about all over the metro area. Looking to add the Amber DRL soon. I'll be sporting white-diamond (no serious mods to distinguish myself yet) so keep an eye out for me!

Hi everyone, I got my AV about a month ago.  I love the site and my new Avalanche!!!  Wondering where the closest meets are?  Interested in meeting some other AV owners and seeing their Avalanches and mods.
 
Hello, I see more of us all the time.  I was thinking it would be great to find a drive in movie location west of you so we could get the trucks together from Des Moines and the Quad Cities.

I ran the miles and it looks like Williamsburg, IA is right in the middle of both Davenport and Des Moines.  There is an outlet mall with a good size parking lot.  Might be a good meeting point for everyone to show off their Avalanches?  Just an idea.
 
Hey everybody, another Iowa City resident here.  Just picked up my 04 last week - used this site to help make the purchase decision!  Traded a 07 FJ Cruiser TRD (that acronym always bothered me) for the AV.  Same or better mileage, more room, more gadgets, and I'm back in a Chevy!  (y)

Well I didn't know where to put this.  So I decided to start here.  I'm new to the Avalanche world.  I just purchased a 2008 LT Red Jewel Metallic about 5 days ago.  I'm from the capital city of Iowa and have been a GM car owner for many years.  I will post some pictures.

Nice pics! Saylorville lake is just a few miles from where I grew up. My parents still live there, but I'm further west in Omaha, NE.

I still get back to Des Moines/Johnston every month or so.
