Is it possible to get into forced induction for under $3g?

On a forced induction is one crazy to think it would be a good idea to keep it as a 4wd?

With my recent discovery of my potential issues I am considering doing a build that would eventually include forced induction but thinking that the WHOLE drive train will suffer and may have to consider replacing the whole shebang. What is the difference between a 1500 and 2500 drive train on a 4wd?

Note, high cost items will be defered on my end for another 5 years since I will have much more financial flexibility when I retire. But never to early to start researching.

Lots of folks have gone blown and kept 4wd

Seems like it would matter as to what your objective is..... A truck for the drag strip? Or a better tow rig?

I use mine as a tow rig. It's no unusual for me to use 4wd on a crappy boat ramp, beach or muddy trail head.

I gotta think all the other drive line components will need to be upgraded or your going to find the weakest link pretty quickly.

If I personally go this route I plan to likely go all out and setup as an off road truck. My recent promotion has me working on the maintenance side and I will be learning how to fabricate my own stuff. So by the time I retire and start a new part time career doing what I want I will have the money to do it in whatever manner I feel like and if I need to fab my own stuff I will know how to.

So my truck will likely get new bumpers, get raised, Get a 6.0... Etc... I will have other vehicles for dragstrip. But want to make a very nice truck for off roading and occasional towing.
