Took a coworker with me to get my picture taken and to pick up all the season passes in the Lake Tahoe region, he went along as he has purchased the same set of passes and we wanted to get all the paperwork out of the way before the snow starts falling, I picked him up and of course we were talking cars, another coworker had just purchased a new Subaru WRX and he was telling me how that is what he wanted, and damn.. wasn't this thing huge, my reply was it works for me, room for the crew and all our gear, and yes, larger than my jeep was but the handing and power are well worth it.

Sunroof open, back window out, barreling up Hwy 50, winding up the mountains and eating up the lil imports and wanna be wheelers on the passing lanes, the tunes cranking, I get the.. so umm, how much did you pay for this truck? I tell him and remark that right now, GM is offering 0% on all the remaining 2002's.

Long and short of it, we hit all the resorts and make it back in record time, he comes into work on Monday... let me see your brochure (I have a dealer brochure on my desk for people to look at) and ends up buying one that evening. A victory red Z71 with leather and sunroof.

Hopefully, I'll convince him to join the board, just like a ride in my Avalanche convinced him that for the money, you can't get a more functional, comfortable, tough truck.

P.S. He hasn't been back into work yet, still driving around his new toy. (I know how that is)

GReat story!!!!!!

That's a great story . . . I've not sold any Av's yet, but have succeeded in impressing a few friends with the Av's capability on I-70 into the Colorado mountains. There are a couple of steep pulls on that route with a high point of 11,000 feet elevation. Many lesser vehicles wimp out, but the Av just drops into third and pulls the whole way at 75 - 80 MPH.

I'm grinning all the way ;D ;D ;D

Great story!
Sometimes the best things come to those who don't wait... and choose instead to go right out and buy buy buy! That's how I do it. >:D

I think that GM should give each and every AV owner 5 reference slips. Each time one of our references buys an AV we should get credit on our next vehicle.

I second that !

My dealer give me a 100 bucks for a refferal that leads to the selling of any truck or car. I told him I was going to set up a booth on the street outside of his lot and tell everyone to use my name when they bought.

I'm sure that most people would be impressed by the av once they actually get into one. ?Heck, you guys have convinced me to buy one and I've never even seen one up close. ?

The engineer who is doing the conversion on mine wants to "borrow" it when it's finished to put on display at 4WD shows. ?He says he'll give me a cut for each one sold. ?(y)

heck Skidd, Sounds like your truck will get payed off before the 04's come out. If they barrow Offten >:D
Well I've not got any firm payment amounts from him, but... with a conversion costing $20K you'd have to figure there would be $500.00 dollars in it, wouldn't ya? Besides I'd want that just for being without my av for the weekend. ;)
