At approximately 5:30 PM, I had a collision with an 1995 chevy 1500. My poor LPM AV is now wrecked, after only 2 weeks of ownership and 1100 miles.

Damages are to the front, cumble the passenger side and the entire front end is now gone. Both front doors will open but has obstructions, making it hard to open and close. I imagine the front frame is bent, but not sure.

The collision was my front passenger corner to his front driverside corner. My airbags deployed and his did not. I feel so sad to have wreck my Beautiful AV. Beside my fiancee, and my parents my AV is next in line.

From the access of a regular person, I would think both front fenders will have to be replaced, doors will have to be repainted the passenger side backend will have to be repaired a bit (Cladding cracked) and metal is pushed in. AV will need a new front grill, head lights, fogs, signal, hood, radiator, pull frame a bit.

I hope she will be brought back to new again, like the way i remember her.

sad sad day for me, my fiancee and my parents. We all really love my AV.

Both of us that was involved in the accident was not really hurt. I got a minor bruse on my chin and the other guy didn't have anything at all.

Good thing i was in the AV. If i was in my rodeo i might not be able to be sitting here typing. The AV is terrible looking.

Now i back to driving my old rodeo again, I got to call the insurance company tommorrow to talk to them about the wreck. Not sure what is gonna happen now. I don't think they will total out the AV. I would think it is about 10k worth of damages, the console somehow cracked. and the rear lights were also broken. we collided front corner and rear corner.

Very weird, bad thing was before i left work both my fiancee and mother called me. They had a weird feeling like something was wrong. And yes, afterwards I wrecked my LPM AV.

Andrew
truely sad of the incident. :C:

Sorry to hear of your accident, but very glad to hear that no one was seriously injured! Hopefully your Av will be back as good as new without to much down time.

Man that's a real bummer! :6: I can't imagine how you must feel after only 1100 miles. Keep us informed as to how things go... especially the dealing with the insurance company. Did you have on star? Did they call you up?

Andrew, glad you are OK as well as the other guy.
I know when it is my turn (Knocking on wood) that I want my Avy protecting me, I feel real safe in there ;)

anhandrew,
Sorry to hear about your AV. But glad to hear no one was hurt. Hopefully it will be repaired like new.

anhandrew...
So sorry that you have to go through that mess! Glad to hear that the AV provided you good protection in the crash! Although you'll be AV-less for a while, when you finally get it back... all new and shiny looking... it will be a lot like the day you originally took delivery ;D. Hang in there!
P.S. Do you have an '02? If they're going to have to replace the cladding, if it is of interest to you, see if they would put the '03 darker cladding on instead!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune! I'm glad you wern't hurt, but make sure you check your AV over after you get it back to make sure it's as close to it was before the accident or you'll have problems. It's a shame such a new vehicle couldn't be totaled so you won't have to deal with this. :B:

I am sorry to hear about your accident.

Make sure to always listen to your fiancee & mom when they get a gut feeling.

Ugh! You are living my worst nightmare dude. I am soooooo sorry for you and your AV. But at least no one was hurt. Though it might be a heartbreaker....the AV can be replaced.

I will try to get pics tomorrow and develop them too. Walmart 1 hr plus web posting. insurance has been good so far. I kinda hope they total it, but i'm almost sure their is not enough damage to total it. I think i've already cover most of what was damaged. Anyone with ideas of how much it would cost, and at what point total is considered?

Thx

andrew
(btw if total i plan to get another one)

Glad everyone's all right. But then I was knida expecting it. The Av has done a good job of protecting its passengers so far. (withe a few exceptions)

If there WAS some frame damage, even if there was'nt, make sure you take it on the highway above 55 to see if any vibration exists. That really sucks, man. But glad no one hurt. Nice to know the protection is there. How fast were u 2 going??

They'll only total if the damage is 70-80% of the value of the vehicle. That's wholesale value that they go by. Sorry man, it makes me want to cry too.

So sorry for your loss. Im glad nobody was injured. Hopefully the insurance will get you set back up
