Well, I'm not much of a Jeff gordon fan or a big fan of cars period but yesterday I was at a local dealer getting the oil changed in my AV and I saw a Jeff Gordon Special Edition Monte Carlo. Not to bad looking. You can see it at www.chevrolet.com.
Choose Monte Carlo, then the Jeff Gordon link on the left menu.

It's pretty sharp!!!

Saw one a couple weeks ago. Nice. And I am a fan of his skill, not so much of his personality. But, there are worse in NASCAR.

I have been a Gordon fan for many years - when I was watching Nascar and he came on the scene I said all right a driver with Indiana roots - I am going to root for this guy - well since that time he has done great and I continue to follow him.

The guy can really really drive :)

Off the Gordon thing but last week we had Tony Stewart at our little 1/3 track on his way to Sears Point..We didn't find him to be the ass everyone says he is. Took lots of pics with fans and gave lots of kids autographs.........

I think Tony, like Jr., had some growing up to do. And I think they have.

Never been much of a JGordon fan but a huge NASCAR Fan! I roomed with Newman in college so naturally I should be cheering for him! Wish he drove a Chevy tho, I think he would quit if he ever was forced to, I have never seen him in anything but a Ford. But I have not talked to him in the last year, he is probably cruising the streets in some nice Dodges!

Saw one of the Jeff Gordon Edition Monte's today. It looks really sharp. Much nicer then I thought it would be.

As for Tony Stewart. He definitely has come along way in his personality. He is also very generous and does alot of charity-you usually do not hear about it though since he likes to keep it low key.

My Mom has wanted that car for a few years now. They change it ever so much each year. Mostly the paint job.

One day I hope she can have to money to get it... after all it's her dream car. :D

As for Jeff Gordon... I've been a number one fan from his midget car days. It's been a long time since those days.

I've seen the Jeff Gordon edition at the dealer too. Unfortunately I haven't seen anyone driving one around town. I think it looks okay, but I'm a truck kind of guy. Maybe they'll do something similar to the AV or to another GM truck.

Hes the one that is fun to hate and if it werent for Dale Sr.s public ribbing (privately he fully respected Gordons driving) Gordon would be EVERYONEs star. Say whatcha want, but the man (yeah man, not boy, hes the same age as I am) can drive the wheels off ANYTHING that has them. Anyone see what he did with Juan Pablo Montoya's F1 a couple of weeks ago at Indy? By the end of the session he was within 1/2 a second of last years US Grand Prix qualifying times. I personaly wish he would leave NASCAR (they have hung their hopes and future on Dale Jr. and thats ok because I like "lil E" to!) and go to F1. We need an American that would go over there and SPANK those guys and bring some recognition for F1 back to America. They are THE ultimate racecars on the planet. ANY Bubba can put the pedal on the floor and turn left on a banked track for 500 miles, lmao! Put em in a car that puts enough positive AND negative Gs on a driver that a fighter pilot would hesitate. THATS racing...

10k RPM idle and 19,500 at the top?

I agree ...
Its time for an American Driver to cross over to F1!
NASCAR , Champ Car (whatever that is), IRL, American LeMans, ect... far , far , behind FORMULA 1.

Remember when Mansell crossed over from F1 to INDY?
Series Champion EASY in rookie year. When Andretti tried it the other way around...Michael took to the grid in his No. 7 McLaren-Ford in 13 races, did not finish in 7 of the 13, and of those DNF's, 6 of the 7 were collisions or spins. He scored 7 points.

As far as the Gordon F1 debut at the helm of the
HP Williams-BMW FW24 Formula One car:

Gordon turned a fast lap of 1 minute, 16.5 seconds in the HP Williams-BMW FW24. (INDIANAPOLIS)

Montoya qualified FORTH!! last year for the United States Grand Prix in the FW 24 at 1:11.414.!!!!!!
(INDIANAPOLIS)

(POLE:Michael Schumacher 1:10.790)
(15th... Takuma Sato @ 1:12.647!!!!)

You see , In F1 5 seconds is an Abyss .

In almost certainty the next American with realistic chances in F1 wont come from ovals. He (or she) will probably emerge from road courses, and must
sport a perfect understanding of how the F1 circus turns around a more "european axis" with the Britton supremos Ecclestone/Mosley firmly at its helm!

For the good of the sport I look forward to this
U.S. Messiah challenging the Drivers Title and why not at the Constructors Title too!!

I'll ask Newman if he remembers you when I interview him this weekend at Pocono. ;D

BTW - my nephew goes to Purdue, and didn't even know who Newman was. I was so ashamed.....

Cool car, looks sharp, but I would never give up my AV

Earnhardt Camaro? When was that produced? I've seen an Earnhardt Monte Carlo, although I don't know if they make that any more.

DEI did a limited edition Camaro as a dealer option from his dealership when he was alive. Not sure if they made any after the tragedy.

I do have to agree Jeff Gordon is a remarkable and very talented driver.

I never routed for him when Dale was alive 'cause I was an Earnhardt fan through and through (still am :6: ). After Dale's passing, I did find myself routing for many drivers at one time. Jeff Gordon is one of them. I almost hate to admit it, but the guy is undeniably one of the best stock car drivers to ever come along and he is likable. Plus I was never crazy about his gold-digging ex-wife. That is another discussion for elsewhere and I do not wish to elaborate though.
