Our New MEET Record .... Seventeen AV's!!!

Be sure and check out Our first Meet Photos.

Wow! GOO, it appears you have a gift for getting people together. I'm sure yall had a great time. Looking forward to the pictures. Kind of interesting to put some faces with the online names. When I get back to the States, I'm going to have to make the 10-hour drive to participate in a meet before the end of the year. I'm planning to go to the State Fair in Dallas in October. That could be an ideal place to gather AVers from across the state and state lines. Anyway, thanks for sharing with those of us who were not able to come along.

WOW!!! What a fantastic time. It was great seeing the other members and meeting new ones. After the cruise, over 20 members came to the SpiritWinds Ranch for a fun time. Sorry not everybody came out. But, there wil be a next time. Our gate will always be open for our AV brothers and sisters and we will leave a light on. Cindy and I hope that everybody felt at home. It was fun having Roland and his family from Houston stay over this weekend. Frank and Darlene, hope you slept well. You two are welcome any time. I think there was talk about having a cruise in the HIll Country and having a Barbecue at the Ranch. Sounds good to us. Goo, did a great job as usual.

Competition winners ... Jim aka tiregod1 of Houston "Most People in an Avalanche" ... Misty aka MJ "Cleanest Avalanche" ... Frank aka RazzTaz "Dirtiest Avalanche"

Here's an ACA First ... video clips of our Avalanches!!!

OK your in the way

That's what I'm doing

You're moving too slow

Thanks Misty!

Kerry aka kps won the "Greatest Distance Traveled" honors ... but it seems he didn't make it in time for this photo op ?;)

I have to be fair and mention that RazzTaz was just released an hour prior to the meet. ?He usually has one of the cleanest Avalanches ... but NOBODY was a match for Misty yesterday INCLUDING yours truly ?

We had an incredible time on this cruise. The food was great but most important the company was out of this WORLD. Thank to Fast Eddie for letting us use his FRS we were missing out on so much. We had to have the cleanest AV this time because our first appearance everyone thought that our AV was pewter and not black. :cautious: I told Passanger57 that this will never happen again. But I did not expect to win. Our prize of Amber DRL will be our first Mod. With many to follow... >:D

I will be changing my screen name today. I go by MJand want to be Kool like all of you with aliases... I know not to unique but what can I say.

I was thinking that in Sep we could go to some place like Basstrop and grill when we get there. What do you guys think? I am working on getting Passanger57 to drive the AV to Cloudcroft and I can fly in from MD that Sat night. We will see what happens.

Thanks again to the RoughtRiders for their hospitality at SpirtWinds Ranch.

Until Next Time, Safe Driving everyone.

MJ

Just got back to Houston.... We had a wonderful time at the meet. ?Thank-You again Rough_Riders for keeping the light on for us at ?your ranch it was so pieceful and relaxing.
Someone ask us yesterday why we travel so far for a meet?, Our answer was because the members are the ?friendliest people, we are glad to come back.

Goo you did a good job on the pics, We will see you for your birthday in September!!

:)had a great time on the Marble Falls cruise yesterday!

Thanks to Goo and all his planning it went off without a hitch, the convoy of AV's was sweet. ?Company was great for lunch and those awesome AV's all lined up in a row for the photo op's were beautiful ?. ?Thanks to Rough_Riders for their hospitality at the Spirit Winds Ranch, it was a blast.

It was great to see everyone and the out of town folks it was great seeing you again. ?Roland and Michelle I plan to be at your Houston/Galveston cruise on Aug. 10. ?See you then.

Once again thanks to Goo929 for all his great leadership and planning.

Miss Avalanche ?-- ? :B:

Here's one of my first attempts at photographing the group of Avalanches:

mf14.jpg
AV's that were a block away kept disappearing ;D

The hi-res panoramic shot in my original POST was created using three photos stiched together using the normal lens on my Sony 2.1 megapixel. ?

It will get more challenging as we grow but definitely worth it! ?;D ;D ;D

We would like to personally welcome the new members: Mark, Cynthia and Joseph, Dan and Norma, Steve, Paul and Lisa, Jim and Patty and girls, Dan and Cody. Sorry that you did not make it to the Spirit Winds Ranch mini meet. Any time any one wants to come out, come on out!! Take it easy and keep it on all fours!!!

Does anyone know the finally headcount at the restaurant?

I am guessing about 40.

Good job with the names Rough_Riders. Be sure and add Karl Rivas aka ktr-sa to your scrap book.

goo929

Man!! That looks like a powerful amount of fun! To take a quote from one of my favourite restaurants "There are many things that I have never done, but I aint never had too much fun"! Well done to all the organisers and those who attended.

I wonder... if I can get to the next one, would I win longest distance travelled?

Skidd 7;)

Hey guys, We sure did have a great time Sat. It was great getting to meet all ya'll.
I think by the time we got home to Houston our Av would have won the Dirtiest award. We hit a "bugstorm" outside of Smithville that was pretty wierd.
Rough_Riders, we will look ya'll up next time. Keep in touch with info on BBQ.

Skidd, I will sneak you an Av out if you can get me a Commodore UV SS with the 5.7 and the 20" wheels.

tiregod1,

Mate, don't mess with my emotions... that is a swap I'll make you right now, yesterday or tomorrow. I'll even ship it and deliver it to you. The commodore is pretty common down here, but an Av... can you see me now! Mmmm how about a straight swap?

Skidd 7;)

:) Skidd

With all those bad a$$ cars "Down" there I can't imagine why the General hasn't built a bad a$$ truck for you guys. ??? So many of the Holden line is built with the LS1 engine but the Fronteras, Jackaroo and Rodeo are only available with a V6? I really feel for ya. :(

Sorry, but my wife wont let me trade the Av.
Hope ya'll get an Av soon. :B: :B:

Howdy!!!!

I hope all had a great time as much as Darlene and I had. It was a blast. I am very glad I made it on time to the starting point. Again, i want to apoligize for not getting there sooner to socialize with everyone before the roll out.

Thanks Pete, for letting everyone know about my little prob. It wont happen again. ( I hope) :-[

We were happy to have seen everyone again and had the pleasure of meeting our new members. ;D

Oh yea, Miss AV did we win? (lotto) If we did win any kind of money just put it back in for more lotto tickets, unless we won the JACKPOT.

We would like to thank the Rough Riders for letting us stay the night. We always have a great time at your ranch. Say hi to "Billy".

Also, thanks to Roland and Michelle for letting us use there radios. I am glad to hear you had a safe trip back to HOUSTON.

LAST but not LEAST I am very happy all made it home safe, especially the ones who had the long drive home. Again for our members coming in from out of town, just drop us a line if you need a place to stay while down here for our cruises. JUST LET US KNOW. We our more than welcome to accomodate your stay.

TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE,

RAZZ-TAZ
