I was just rear ended today by a 02 Ford F150. There is no noticable damage I could see to rear of my 03 Av, however the Fords bumper was completly under both front wheels and hood crumpled. his airbag went off as well....
I'm not feeling to hot, going to see a Doc in morning...as is the Av. My question is has anyone else been rear ended and what should i have them look for (due to cladding i didnt see much) Of course the one time i didn't have my digi cam with me..sry. I drove away, he had to ride in the flat bed tow truck hehe. Of course i will remeber his famous last words...they aren't kidding when they say like a rock!

Ouch!!! Sorry to hear about that. I hope everyone is ok.

I've been rear-ended four times, but not in the AV.

From past experience I would highly advise seeing a doctor and just getting a checkup. Going to see a chiropractor wouldn't be a bad idea either. They can check you out really well and give you a quick adjustment to make sure everything is in place.

Don't put it off though, go as soon as you can.

I've been rear ended!

I was rear ended by an S10, I was at a stand still and he was going 45 - 50mph...

Check out pics of my wrecked AV in my Picturetrail Album:

Oh, but the S10 was totalled, he had no front end so I got away better than him! >:D

Ouch! I read that wrong--I thought you'd been rear-ended a second time! I went to the pics and saw they were from last year. Whew!

But saavy, getting hit in any angle is a pain, especially to the body--it doesn't bend/pull back into shape as easy or fast as a steel automobile does. Hope you get to feeling A-OK quickly.

Any noticable difference after the fix? I just hate to have a brand new truck with issues now popping up due to something being off... :(

Yeah notice how they need to sneak up on us...darn little rear window... :p

It all comes down to jealousy. And "they" think they can run us off the road, when will they ever learn? >:D

Savvy_Av : I hope you and your AV are doing fine.

Sorry to hear about your accident.

NOTE TO ALL: I carry one of those disposable Kodak cameras in my AV just in case of an accident or any other situation where I might want a photo.

I was stopped at a light when a brand new Dodge Caravan hit me at about 20 MPH. I got out expecting the worst. I had a small 1 1/2 inch crack on the little step on my rear bumper. His entire front was shattered including headlights, his hood had folded up into an inverted "V" and his car was smoking. I sort of felt bad, as I drove away, watching him try to explain to his wife on his cell phone, what he did to HER new car. :-[

Savvy_Av-- be sure to get yourself checked out. A guy I share an office with at work was rear ended in his Durango by a 26ft delivery truck. The other truck's bumper hit his trailer hitch square. Not too much give or crumple. About $8K worth of damage and a bent frame. He's got some neck problems as a result. Hope everything turns out okay.

Savvy_Av -

Mine is perfect now, wouldn't even know it had been in an accident.

When I first got it back I had a problem, when I hit the brakes the truck lurched left and the steering wheel turned right. Turns out some guy at the shop left 1 of the 2 bolts off the front control arm and the other one was barely screwed on.

After THAT was fixed, everything's been A-OK!

;D

Well, I'm on road to recover...so to speak. I'm doing better and Av looked just fine to tell the truth, cept for all the shards of chrome from the F 150 bumper...hehe
It took 2 weeks to get the 03 plastic (they needed a vin# to order it) but went in shop today...and the best part is the rental is a Mercedes E class!!! After discussing the Mods and such of this "truck" (they called it A truck..please) I was givin an "equal rental" woohoo
