Just Got The Call! It's In!

Hi Everyone,
Just got the call my 2003 Red Z-71 Chevy AV is in! (y) It came off the truck this morning. I am scheduled to pick it up today at 3:30 pm EST. Boy talk about excited. It feels like Christmas. Thanks everyone for all the help and great info.

Huge Grats!!! Sounds like a good day to develop a cough or have a family emergency after lunch. Need to have time to enjoy it for the rest of the afternoon. :)

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I must say this. I test drove three AV's before placing my order. But, last night after putting close to 50 miles on it. Wow! what a ride. I was planning on doing some mods and now it is like, man this truck is so right. But, deep down I believe I still want the Gibson exhuast (Single Side Swept), and maybe some different rims. But, right now I am really enjoying this truck/SUV/Luxury Vehicle? ;). Well, out to put more miles on it. Thanks again.

Talio...happy to see that Santa brought you an early Christmas gift....now it's time to imbelish the Av....also on Chrismas..and go out and buy it some new toys.... :B:
 
Glad to hear that your truck made it ! I imagine it will be a few days before you have any time to sit in front of the computer when you could be sitting in your Av!
 
congrats, i cant wait to post the same topic. my avalanche has been built but its been sitting out in the shipyard waiting because of the dockworkers strike! its killing me, i guess there is a problem wtih living in hawaii. lets pray that they get the back-logg sorted out, and fast.
 
Sorry to hear that tommy...hopefully the whole entire situation will be worked out with the dock workers so you could enjoy your Av....we'll all keep our fingers crossed.... :B:

I can imagine how you feel. Let's hope and pray the strike is over soon and you get your truck right away.

The longshoreman on the west coast are not now, or ever have been on strike. They were "locked out" by the employers, represented by the Pacific Maritime Assoc. President Bush invoked Taft-Hartley and ordered the PMA to allow longshoreman back to work during an 80 day "cooling-off" period. The ports have been re-opend since October 9, and have about a 9 week back-log of freight to process.
 
Thanks for the clarification steel, I was under the impression they had gone on strike...haven't kept up with the news lately....hopefully all will be well after it's all said and done... :B:

Congrats! I just looked at a Red 2003 today. I have a Red 2002 and I just wanted to see how that new cladding looked on it. It looks SWEET!!!!!!!!! :eek:

How about you look into doing a cladding swap...will be cheaper on you than trading up the 02'... :B:

From what I've read about the price of cladding, the cost of new cladding would be close enough to the loss I'd take trading it in, to just go for a new '03.
