I have a 2002 Avalanche. My keyless entry has slowly degraded overtime until it completely stopped working. I started having intermittent issues only during cold weather where it would periodically work. Sometimes it would only unlock the passenger side. I replaced the batteries in both key fobs. Tried holding both lock and unlock buttons down for 7 seconds to reset them. Tried reprogramming them, but don't seem to get consistent confirmation that they programmed successfully (door locks cycling). I've tried purchasing new key fobs. I've also tried unplugging the truck battery for extended periods of time. I can lock and unlock the doors from the driver's side door panel except for the rear passenger (most recent issue). I think the lock actuator has gone bad.
The weird thing is that it worked just the other day for a couple of cycles and then stopped working again. I had just gotten the truck back from the mechanic to get my radiator replaced. I pulled both lock and unlock relays and tested them, and they appear to be fine. I would assume I wouldn't be able to lock or unlock the doors from the inside if either were bad.
I appreciate any thoughts or solutions anyone has.

update: Yesterday I replaced the three relays associated with the door locks. Keyless entry still doesn’t work. When I unlock the doors from the driver or passenger side, the doors will unlock. When I try to lock the doors from either door, only the driver’s side locks.

I have the exact same symptoms as you described in your first paragraph. Did you find a remedy?
