Does anyone know what lamp is required for the rear license plate marker lights in bumper Also, how to change that bulb?
openminds said:Sure, they use the same 194 bulbs that are used in most of the interior. You need to reach up behind the bumber and they twist right out. I personally put 194 white LEDs in mine. Nice little effect.

Super Bright LEDs
They have some pretty cool bulbs, and great prices. Get your bulbs within a week.
They look to have a nice selection - thanks for the tip.openminds said:Here is the place I buy all my LEDs.

openminds said:If I remember right the map lights are not 194s. Not sure though. No, their not, well, maybe, hmm, no, definetly not.
Did you replace the oem map light bulbs on your AV?
openminds said:No, not yet. ?
Here is the lighting I have changed.
Interior Lighting
1. Dome light - Blue LED Festoon Bulb
2. Front floor lights - Blue 194s
3. Door reflectors - Blue 194s
4. Instrument Cluster - Blue 194 LEDs (Requiring a little modding)
5. Balance of dash lights to be blue LED soon.
Exterior
1. Puddle Lights - Blue LED Festoon Bulbs
2. License Plate lights - White LED 194s
3. Front Turn Signals - Blue colored bulbs (For white)
4. Front turn signal corners - White LEDs
5. HID Low beams.
That's it and all. ?

dissappointed that the light isnt enough to illuminate the license plate
openminds said:The 194 LEDs work better as a spot beams, and the license bulbs are not pointed right at the plate. I was after the color, not the brightness. Besides, headlights from other cars behind you illuminate the plate just fine.

Did you also do the two map lights, driver and passenger? If so, are they 194s too?
TX619er said:Ok, this is a way old topic/thread... but... when I went to the LED web link on this thread... it has a bunch of different led 194 bulbs.? Some of them have any where from a single to 4 or more leds.? Does anyone have any knowledge as to whether or not these leds w/ more bulbs will burn or do any damage to the lens or wiring of the map/dome/license plate/etc light areas?? I know they don't burn as hot, but would several of these do damage?? Thanks.
