Just a curiosity factor for me, as I am going through the Lemon Law...

Provide any details for your vote...

Haven't done any of the above. But I am getting tired of going to the dealer every couple of months for different things. I am getting close to the 36K miles ??? I have a popping noise that they have not fixed. This will be the 3rd time they try.

Talked to my lawyer yesterday and they are in the middle of discovery. Both my lawyer and GM's lawyers are taking depositions from those that have worked on the leak. No mention of doing a leak test yet. I'm hoping to hear back from my lawyer around the middle of Jan.

Sorry to say (for all club members!) that Chevy just re-purchased my '02 AV last week. Dealer had my AV for over 40 days during 4 visits. Just couldn't stop the water from coming in the cab. Had to file for the Lemon Law, but Chevy offered to buyback before the hearing.

I do really love my '03 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab though!

Just a word of advice...look carefully at your state's Lemon Law. Many are much tougher (on the manufacturer) than the BBB program that Chevy "recommends" you use. Clearly, choose the program with the most "teeth". >:D

I posted something on this in another thread. My first Av was replaced at 6 days old, 3rd trip to the dealer, one under it's own power, twice behind a wrecker.
The best part, durning it's second visit they said they would replace it if it f@#ked up one more time. It did, and they followed through.
Peace

I have have a vibration problem since 2000miles, went to the dealers 5 times and counting. i have even mentioned all the possilbe causes mentioned by this awsome website, but the dealer refuses to check out any of these areas sticking with it's within "factory spec" so now i have my lawyer chasing chevy. as of yesterday they seemed interested in a settlement without arbitration. sounds like too many people are looking to return their avalanches and chevy is pretty much admitting there is a quality issue. such a shame really.... the only reason i brought an SUV was cause of AV's awsome features. But right now it doesn't feel anywhere near what i paid for it. when this issue is resolved, meaning settlement, i got a laundry list of other problems to fix. rattles, weak window motor, wipper that don't work in snow, clicking seatbelt, etc etc.
and it's all making me blue :-X :9: :D:

GM bought my first one back in July of this year and every (7 so far) time I go to the dealer for warranty work I see it still sitting there waiting for GM to pick it up and I'm sitting there wishing I had it back instead of the one I have now. The buy back was a big hassle.
