Need to know about any goings on around the Wichita area. Looks like Kegger and Snowslide tried a while back and it sounds like it was true to form for the Wichita area. Not much support :cautious: . Is there anybody interested in the Wichita area for meet and greets? Love My Av and waiting to hear from ya.. (y)

Greetings! You are right. Not much going on in our area. I am game, though.
 
How ya doin? I live in Andover off of 21'st and Andover Rd. so we're just about neighbors. I know that we could get this thing fired up at least a little bit. My schedule is pretty tight during the summer but would like to do something to help if I can. Im heading to the Zoo on Sunday with the family for the Fathers Day Car Show I know its too early for this year but maybe we can plan ahead for next year and line some Avs up at some of the local shows. What do you think?
 
Does an AVer in Hutchinson count.
I know there are several AVs in Reno county, but have not had a chance to chase them down to see if they are members.

Hard to hit a moving target.

 
Welcome, :) Lets see who all shows up here and we can try to roll with it. I have an Aunt and Uncle in Pretty Prairie and get the direction occasionally. Would more for GTG's :cool:. Stay in touch with this sight and we'll see what kind of intrest we get.

Were from South Hutch so us Reno county people are starting to catch up with the ones from Sedgwick county.
Wish we had all gotten together a little sooner maybe if we had enough interested we could of done the 4th of July parade in Hutch. Would look pretty cool if we could get 10 or more to go.
 
The kids and the wife love parades and would probably love to be in one but were in a baseball tournament that weekend and would not be able to make it, keep me posted if we cancel then that could be fun. ;)
 
Hey, Theo, I live on SW HWY 254 between Benton and Towanda (log home with green metal roof). Yes, we are quite close! I have my daughters in a soccer tournament all weekend down at 47th and Meridian or else I'd look ya up at the zoo.

To the others, great to hear from ya! I am a bad one for coordinating things, but I do like to participate....
 
me too on the co-ordination thing :rolleyes: would like to help out and get this area motivated. We have plenty of places to meet and places close by for cruises and such that could be a good time if we can pull it together. ;D I saw some meeting at the Drive in someplace to check a flick I know we could hook up at the Medowlark or what ever that one is over by Boeing and we have a Hooters and all that so we just need to push some buttons on these Kansas area Avers... Stay in touch with this thread and lets see what kind of interest pops up. Gotta Bail for now, will stay in contact. :cool:
 
One of my buddies just took delivery of his 2003 Z71 WBH last night and I know that he has been visiting the sight (Rob if your out there congrats on your new addition to the family!) I know that he will be getting involved and will be interested in Wichita gatherings so if any of you know of any other South Central Ks Avers get them on line and involved I will try and contact Don Hatten, Joe Self and Mel Hambleton to see if they would be willing to spread the word about the CAFC to help us out any. Come on Ks Avers... Left a message on the Missouri Avers thread to try and get involved with them on some gtg's so dont let this die B4 we even get started.... ;D
 
Well another east Wichita guy here, I ma at 159th and Kellogg and if I am in town would love to meet and greet, so I will watch this thread with interest :)

Hey Christain, will try to get something going down here. Went to the car show at the zoo yesterday. Lots of nice rods and rice rockets and a few trucks, I think they could use a dose of Avs though! Some of the area clubs were representin Pure Envy, Mulvane Mauraders and a few others that their names escape me this early in the a.m. I think that a bunch of Avs would get some attention. :cool: I'm hopin that I can get enough interest around here to roll with this. ;D Dont really want to lead but will help as much as I can. If Kegger and Snowslide are still out there and interested I think there are a few of us that could start a small chapter in this area. Stay in touch and well see what happens. ???
 
Is there any interest in a Sat the 21'st GTG (Ive got ball games during the day so it will have to be an evening thing..) here in Wichita ??? (Old Chicago on Kellogg and Rock? Hooters fills up fast if not early I guess Old Chicago does too so what do you all think?? ;D YoungLancher (James) from the KC area brought up the idea (he'll be in town this W/E) I guess this is our first opprotunity to try something here in town any thoughts anybody?
 
That Old Chicago is my favorite Wichita restruant. It wouldn't be too tough to swing that one!
 
Well that makes 2, 3 if James makes it and it will be a bigger turnout than the first Ks Chapter Meet. Keep in touch with the other Kansans thread (probably ought to start another thread for Kansas GTG's. :cool:
 
They do take reservations for larger groups. Might be a good idea for a Satruday evening. They have a small room for parties and such, probably seats around 20 or so.

I always miss out on the GTGs :cry: Im in KC but have family in Wichita and would definatly like to go but cannot. This weekend one of the larger pool tourney's comes to KC, can't mis that. Good luck hope alot of people show, maybe next time I'll be able to get there.

Similar situation here. Family in KC so would like to be in the loop for any KC GTGs. Keep in touch with this thread and you will always be welcome. ;) Looking forward to meeting anyone from the club. ;D
