What is the cheapest price that you guys have seen for a lift kit for a Z66 Avy...?

I am looking to get mine lifted SOON, and I have read that some of you have gotten them for less than $1200!!! Where can I get the best price? There is a guy that sells Fabtech kits on Ebay, and his price is the cheapest I have seen, and that was $1385, plus $50 for shipping...

Let me know what you guys have found. I am not cheap, but I am always looking for a good deal... ;)

Ebay would probably be your best shot. You can also try searching some of the big wholesale companies, like 4wheelparts.com
They usually have quite a selection of kits, pretty much anything except RCD. However their Fabtech lifts are $1700 and up. I would stick with Ebay.

4 inch rancho BAD . Ihave it on my truck just makes the truck too sloshy !

When getting a lift make sure the all the FACTORY angles on your parts remain fatory ( steering , drivelines and what ever else )

Sounds like you want a lift really bad but belive me this is something you DO NOT want to cheap out on .

I did and now I am replacing my lift for one like the above

Av Wolf, Are you going with an RCD or a Fabtech? Both are really well built, Butif I could do it over I wish I got a Fabtech. But I cant complain on the RCD, havent had any problems with it. All I have to say is make sure that you get a good installer, because I have yet to get my front end properly aligned(installers fault).

The problem with the rancho is that it uses a CV Spacers on the front axles . When the wheel travels the full lenth down the joint binds and KABOOM ! Average cost to repair $350 bucks . My wife has the one that is the charchoal color like salt and pepper not sure which lift it is but all the angles are factory and no joint spacer .

Iknow 4wheelparts has a 6 inch "superlift" that does this with dual blistens in front i have been thinking of but I might just end up with the 4 inch like hers and then run a 3 inch body for the wheel clearance

DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU !

AW, I installed an RCD 6 inch lift and it also uses those spacers, Just wondering if that might happen oneday to mine, hopefully it won't. I really like this kit rides the same as stock. Had Big brand align my AV after the lift rides true.

Yeah becarfull Jimmi Z - the only way to stop that from happening is to attach a limiting strap on the arm from what the offroad shop told me .

Just be wary of those wheels coming off the ground . Not trying to scare ya but I know I am . I not 4 wheeling unless is it light stuff until my new lift arrives .

The Pro-comp is the one that your wife has I think...

But my thing is...[flame suite] I have a Z66 so I don't have to worry about any of the front drive issues...[/flame suit]

4wheelparts is offering the Pro-comp for $1,269 to my door, this weekend only, or I can go into the store here in Phoenix and get them to price match a Fabtech kit for $1,462.94...

Between the two, which one do you guys like, taking the small price difference into account?

I would go with the Fabtech, it is a very professional kit well built and will last for a very long time. You also get to choose colors with the Fabtech the blue looks really nice on lots of the trucks (y). The Procomp is a great kit as well, but in terms of quality and ease of installation the Fabtech is better. However, in my area I had a hard time finding anyone that would be able to install the Fabtech, just because they were trained to install Ranchos, Superlifts and RCD.
Good Luck with your decision.
