I am a new owner of an 3/4ton 2002 Av and a new member of the club. I've been really impressed with the amount of info available on the site. My Av is a work truck and is likely to take some abuse up here in Canada. I use the truck to drive on old forestry roads which can be quite brutal at times. I've seen a few postings on various lifts. I am curious how the lifts have effected the trucks handling and I am also curious if it has lowered the payload capabilaties of the truck. I'm worried about the truck getting too top heavy for the highway. At present I am looking at the 4"PA lift. It should be available in a week or two.
I read a couple postings in regards to people ripping their trailer wiring off. I had that problem with my Silverado and ripped the plug off my Av within the first week. Rather than trying to guard the plug as someone suggested it is better to move the plug up into the bumper. You can put it in the same place as the spare lock only on the opposite side of the license plate.
