Lifted Escalade EXT!!!!!!!

GUEST
Hi I am new to the boards, and I really like the avalanche but I like the escalade ext better. And I have seen lifted avalanches and they are cool, but I was wondering has anyone seen a lifted ext? Because I haven’t and am thinking of purchasing ethir-or I would think that you could use a avalanche lift kit and put it on the ext, because it has the same suspension, right? Also if anyone has a pic of a lifted ext, could you please let me see.

Thanks

I think most EXT's go the other way - slammed to the ground.

My personal opinion - I'd rather own a lifted Av over an EXT. ?No real reason other than the intended purpose of the trucks. ?The Av is truck-like, while the EXT is more of a street only, candy coated, bling bling SUV to me. :cautious: :)

EDIT: And welcome BTW! I didn't realize this was your first post. (y)

Bling-Bling....Sarcasm.

A Rolex is Bling bling

A Ferrari is Bling Bling

Diamonds are bling bling

gold is Bling Bling

Anything that cost a lot of money is BLING BLING

You have to listen to a little more Rap and Hip Hop Music abd you'll hear "Bling Bling" in every song!!!!

Bling Bling= Cash, money, Flow!!!!

Well, while they are mostly the same I am oppossed to paying more bling-bling for basically the same vehicle.

Why? Because some rap star gangsta wanna be has one?

BTW, KC and Andi, bling bling is a reference to money, usually nuveau rich money, i.e. ostentatious.

I find the new term interesting because it refers to the cha-ching that we use to refer to cash registers. The sound where it used to make a bell chime each key you pushed and then a nice satifying cha-ching cha-ching when you cranked the side handle for a total.

However cash registers don't make that sound and haven't for years. The ones

Which is kind of interesting, a term used to refer to cash which derived from the old hand cranked registers which people using the term probably haven't since since they weren't even born yet.

Here Ya Go! I found this photo for Ya!
raisedEXT.jpg

It's got a 10 inch Whiplash suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift... a custom airbag rear suspension too.
This truck is feature in the June issue of "StreetTrucks."

There is one around here in my neck of the woods. I will keep the camera in the car to see if i can catch him this weekend. I will try to flag him down and see what he used. But you can check out rancho at www.gorancho.com to see if their kit works on the vehicle you want. Or even better start visiting lift dealers in your area and ask them a few questions before you lay out that $60,000.

My 2cts. Take the $60,000 and buy two avalanches! Twice the smiles.

I think the cover of Truckin' has a pic of a VERY lifted Silverado with a Caddy EXT front end conversion. The front page photo cuts of the bed area of the truck so you can't tell if it's an EXT or a conversion, but inside they show you the whole thing.
So if your EXT wasn't enough bling-bling, having it lifted is BLING-BLING.
As mentioned before, I'm not really into a lifted Caddy. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Wow, thanks guys and i really like that pic. i would like to see a front veiw too. but all your input really helps.

Hey, I'm only 24 and I have used that saying a long time. I know I'm not one of those new style yongsters. That say is still in, in my book. I have never heard of Bling-Bling until this thread, that tells you how far out of it I am.

Now bring back to the point about the Av and the EXT having the sam suspension. I don't think that is true. Cause the AV is a 4x4 and the EXT is all wheel drive. Can they have the same suspension and on be a 4x4 and the other be a all wheel drive? I'm not sure but i thought they where different. I just want to know.

Atom - I'm pretty sure they're the same suspension. The only thing that probably differs is the transfer case. Instead of a part-time / auto-trac setup like ours, they're probably just running a full-time transfercase like some JGC's (Jeep Grand Cherokee)

All the parts our Av use are well suited to be run full-time - we just can't because we have a locking tranfer case, while full-time t-cases have some sort of slipable coupler to prevent damage on 'high traction' surfaces...

:)

I can't decide which is more wasteful: the ruining of such a fine luxury vehicle, or doing so and never using it for that purpose!
