Yup, but that 6 speed tranny helps out a lot.

Oh I'm sure. Definitely not doing all it could though. My 05 with 6" and 35s(and four speed tranny) did better on gas.... Not that I bought an Avalanche for the "emmpegahs", but.....

Yeah the gear ratio on the 6 speed are much lower, but it still short shift for gas mileage

Oh man! I have been eyeballing those for a few years. My CVs are still going strong but these will be the replacements for sure when they go. Can't wait to see pics... start it in a new thread.

Sorry for the delay guys.  The gear swap and RCV Ultimate IFS CV Axles get done June 3rd when I'm on vacation.  I've been traveling too much lately and haven't had the time to get anything "fun" done.

Upgrading/swapping from 4.10 to 4.88
Looking forward to getting the RCVs on there too...

More to come, and photos to accompany.  Maybe I'll have a separate thread for it if it's not duplicative.

I think I get to join now!!!

plastidip was originally the rubber u dipped tool handles in now they came out with a sprayable version you can get it at dipyourcar.com or some colors at you local hardware store (ace homedepot carry them here (CO)) search plastidip there is a whole thread on it of what people are doing it becomes very addicting its very cheap and easy and if you don't like it it peals of (cheap price not quality)

Woohoo. After keeping my keys and lift spacers in my garage for 2 years, I finally got them installed and can now proudly post my entry to this nation.
