Let's make this MOD even better --

This mod is great and looks great at night, but it is pointless to have them come on in the daylight when they cannot be seen. Why not extend the life of these bulbs and figure out how we can install a switch at the dash area.

My lights (like most I think) are wired into the trailer harness in back and work the same as the regular turn signals & brake lights. I am sure there is a fuse somewhere for the trailer lights... isn't there a way to tap into this fuse area and install a switch to turn the trailer harness on/off thus the ability to turn the sail lights off during the day? --assuming there is nothing else on this circuit and you are not pulling a trailer at the time.

I could just pull the fuse but that would be a pain, we need a switch-- any electric genius out there that has the knowledge to tackle this one?

You could use normally open relays in the circuits and power them with the taillights. The circuit would be off until the lights came on, then the relay would close the circuit and make them active.

You could do it with on relay if you put it between the lights and the ground.
