List Of Attendees For The Nationals

I am still planning on attending, in fact, I am very much looking forward to going and can hardly wait!!! I don't know why others are not registering, Myself and my wife are genuinely anticipating the fun in S. Dakota!

You can remove me from the list. It is just a little to far to make the drive. The original idea of over 100 AVs and organized 4x4 was my original draw. I am just going to shoot for a nice local meet at the same time. Hope ya have a blast.

With all these people backing out, would it just be appropriate if we cancel the meet if there are not at least 43 Avs? If a national meet cannot beat out a local Texas cruise (I am very impressed with 42 Avs at a local meet but this is a national meet ;)). It is getting to the point where it is not worth it as much for me to miss several baseball games and for my dad to take a week of vacation time to go. We can make it but we ourselves are trying to make a lot of sacrifices to make it.

Hey folks, this list is supposed to be getting bigger.

I'm still trying to make it, Lance. Maybe we can caravan over?

How about Lewiston? Then we can follow the Nez Perce trail.

Geez really show how people are supporting their club!

People can support the club by going to local meets and coming here too.
It's hard to consider shelling out $200+ for registration, making hotel reservations and taking a weeks worth of vacation for something that MAY not happen.
I think your comment about supporting the club needs to be directed at someone else, not the members who were looking forward to an event that got dropped.

Biggie, I'm highly offended at that comment, I have done A LOT for the club including passing out brochures, helping with the TX chapters, AND paying $40 for supporting membership (oh, I don't see that by your name) and have yet to get my stuff for!

Putting $200 toward registration and $99/night for a hotel is expensive........so where is your $$ coming from? Try sending it my way so I can pay for MY AV...

I was ready to commit when everyone was more sure of this happening, but with it on shaky ground, my money will go elsewhere.

:cautious:

No Kim you did a lot for yourself. We all have. We all enjoy our time here. We all have given and taken free advice. The trouble is Chief tried doing something he thought members would enjoy. They enjoyed Wild West. This was gonna be bigger. Then a problem came up, maybe more than one. But for all the above reasons I'll wait it out and give the man a chance instead of running for the rope.

I agree whole heartedly irontrain, just those blanket comments make me angry...you can't blame someone for wanting to either pull out, or wait til the last minute to give out money, and this isn't just pocket change, ya know?

I haven't had much input into this. ?I am still trying to figure out if I can attend or not. ?I really want to! :-[ ?I am curious if the agenda is still the same. ?At this link ?http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cruise/national_2003_01.html ?it lists some events that I thought I had read had been changed or cancelled. ?Just curious while I try to finagle the GO!
Having been on a cruise with 40 plus I can tell you it is impressive enough. 2.5 million dollars in AV's aint nothin to sneeze at ? ? and ? ?BTW ? ? CoAvZ71
that Texas meet you were talkin about had people from 4 States! ?(y) ;) :) :D ;D

This is so true. I think everyone should just let Chief get everything in order in his personal life first then worry about this club. i do love this club alot and i know alot of you do to. its one of the main things that power your truck (y) i am with iron on this

Biggie

Just a thought - most of the people on the site have to pay for their AV, Insurance, roof and food out of their pocket - so when something like the national seems very up in the air, they will want to reapply their limited funds towards other expenses in life.

When I was your age - I could understand having bills, but until you have to manage your own budget you don't really understand. This is not meant as a flame - just giving some insight - I know at your age I was making my own $ and paying a lot of my bills. It was just a small taste of what real bills were like - I didn't have to worry about shelter or food :)

Blueruck is very right me working 2 jobs for an AV I am very lucky to be able to come the only reason I am able to come is some nice money from my dad he said since I pay for my AV he will pay for my trip ;)

Sorry Tex. I should've known that. I was just trying to get people to understand that if so many people from a "relatively" small area could gather for a cruise that large, then you'd expect a far greater total when getting people from 2 countries and thousands of miles away to attend. It was no flame whatsoever on that huge cruise you had. I was just disappointed that all we can do for nationals is compare it to that cruise when we were expecting 3x that many Avs.

Biggie -

I agree that we should let Chief get his life back in order, but in the meantime, the club is suffering, and we need SOME sort of governing body to take over while Chief is away, it only makes sense that way...

That's what most are trying to get across, when only one person has so much power, and is unable to keep order, we need others that can stand in his place til he can come back 100%....
