STEP 4:
Disconnect OEM intake tube from the radiator hose clip

STEP 5:
Remove the OEM crank case breather plug from the resonator chamber and remove it from where it attaches to the engine.  Note: You just pull from the resonator chamber and it comes out, for the engine, you will need to use a screwdriver to unlock the clip.

STEP 6:

Pull the complete factory air intake system and air box out

STEP 7:
Now you are going to start setting up the aFe air-box and cone.  This model has an extra oval opening (auxiliary air inlet) towards the front top of the box you can plug with the part provided.  Maybe someday I could pipe some air flow....maybe

Slide the filter into the aFe momentum HD air-box and attach the T-bolt clamps but do not tighten (need flexibility during install)  You can see how big the cone is compared to my hand >:D

STEP 8:
Install the trim seal around the outside edge of the air-box.  I had to trim about 1/4" to get a snug fit.

STEP 9:
Transfer the retaining plug from the bottom of the factory air-box onto the aFe airbox

some comparisons

STEP 10:
Install the aFe air-box into the AV by firmly pushing it into the factory mounting grommets.

STEP 11:

Install the coupling and clamps on the small end of aFe intake tube and do not tighten at this time.

STEP 12:
Install the new intake tube by sliding into the filter side first then over the throttle body

STEP 13:
Align the tube and tighten all clamps

STEP 14:
Install the mass air flow sensor on the aFe tube and secure with supplied M4 screws

STEP 15:
Install the supplied crankcase breather hose.  I installed the crankcase side first and then plunged into the aFe tube.  Ensure you slide the mini clamps on before you push the hose onto the connectors.

STEP 16:
Make sure all clamps and connections are secured

According to the website: The Momentum GT intake system outflowed the factory intake by 58% and produced 13 additional horsepower and 19 lbs. x ft. torque.  I'm sure it's going to take a little while for the MAF to learn the new setup.  I'm sure there is some gains, but not enough to brag about.  I think once the tune and headers are installed, all together, there will be a noticeable change.

I'm overall happy with the setup and sound.  Here are some video clips showing:

cruise control at 30mph  (added the screenshot of the dBs)  not bad
