Well I had the flowmaster 40 series  installed this past week and here are the pix and sound files on YouTube.  All I did was have the OEM exhaust cut out and the FM40 put in its place.  I also had the resonator removed and then reused the tip. (y)

Yeah. He's one of those guys that talks with you about anything while he works. And it only took him an hour to knock it out.

That's the same one I have on my truck. Very satisfied with it.

I love the tone you get. Normally I'd run dual exhaust but wanted to keep the sound somewhat subdued this time. I still plan on running headers down the road so that will add a little more volume to it.  >:D

Sweet comparison videos Loggie! I notice the cruise noise is louder now, does it bother you any?

Not at all.  When I took it out on the road I used a sound meter app to measure the dBs and it was only 2 points higher.  OEM average was 67dB and after was 69dB

The drone inside is not bad and when you play music, you don't notice anyways lol

Not bad at all. What a guy doing all of this research and reporting for us, thanks Loggie! My last Expedition was so loud inside (rusted out and bad door seals) that I'm still impressed with how quiet the Avy is on the highway; I wouldn't want to jeopardize that but 2db would be worth it.

Love sharing what I do for those seeking to mod their AV.  You should go see some of my old post...very step by step lol

If I would have ran dual exhaust, then it would have been much louder in the cab.  My 02 even had an e-cut out >:D

Great pics and vids. Wondering how you are liking (or not) the 40 series now that you've been driving with it for 3 months.

i like it a lot. just enough tone for a daily driver and just enough sound when you push the gas

Had mine installed yesterday. Love the sound at start-up. I had already removed the resonator and installed an SLP dual polished tip myself, so this really adds a nice rumble. No drone on the highway either. So far I am really pleased.
