Looking for an aftermarket hood cowl or ram air for a 2005 cladded avalanche. Looking to have a bit more attitude. Preferably steel but if fiberglass ones you have used how much prep and fitment adjustments were required. If someone had one they want to part with or knows where I can locate one other than the duraflex ones on ebay ease let me know. Really hoping to change it up soon but finding one has been a slow go.

Looking as well. 2004 with cladding.

Is there a problem with the duraflex ones you mentioned? Or is it just the style?

Also looking for sources of after market hoods since a tree fell on my truck and smashed my hood. I will be working with my local body shop to get this put on. I will look around too but if someone has a line on a decent after market unit I would be grateful about hearing about it.

Whelp, today I was shopping for rocker panels. Found a local place that manufactures them. They have a TON of avvy parts, including aftermarket hoods in varying styles. Such as this one. Might behelpful for some going forward seeing as this pops up from time to time.

Other items in stock that seem to show up around here: aftermarket Grilles, rust repair panels, light assemblies, the list goes on. "2005 avalanche" gives 25 pages of in stock stuff. lol.

THey are not clear whether that hood is for CLADDED or WBH....

Since they skip 2002 my guess it is for WBH aka NAKED avvys.

I guess we would need to inquire for clarification as it is marked "fits all" but you're right, it would be weird that it skips '02.

This is another example that specifically calls out that it fits cladding and also includes '02(seems to be twice the cost though) : https://www.c2cfabrication.com/prod...-air-style-2in-fits-models-with-body-cladding

Third and final option for the generation, again, showing '03-06 so likely no cladding: https://www.c2cfabrication.com/prod...ction-hood-w-teardrop-dual-cowl-made-of-steel

Edit: I sent them an email.

Per my conversation with the rep. Good news is that second link works, bad news is that they're technically out of stock?

"GMK4147200022 is the only hood we carry that will work directly for your model. However we are currently out of stock and have no ETA on when more will be available.

I then asked them to clarify whether that means that they're discontinued or not,

"We do not make it, we buy this product and as of this time we do not show it discontinued."

I googled that part number and it is made by "goodmark" Out of stock everywhere but the previous site and this one: https://waynesautoparts.com/444gmk4147200022.html

Which shows it as a custom order. Which might be the reasonings for both prices and why it's not actually "out of stock"

Oh well, i tried,xD I got excited for everyone else. At least it's a potential option and they do carry a ton of other stuff including reasonable rust repair paneling. (which is their specialty)

Guess I will have to just go with a standard junkyard replacement for now and wait to add this later.

Truck is due to get its rear end rebuilt this week and then off to the body shop to get the hood replaced and the fender fixed from a tree falling on it.
I made the mistake of not makng sure the rear end was filled with gear oil and drove it around. It instantly made a racket... So this H2 Rear end will be getting rebuilt this week. I will likely have 3.73 gears put back in if it is having gears changed so it is the same as it was gear wise. Until I get the lift put on it and go to bigger tires. A year or two down the road...

probly a dumb Q but Why would the cladding have anything to do with the hood?
Many threads and post on this but they have different fenders and front clip so they are not the same.

One will not fit on the other and vice versa...
