Broke the retaining clip off of my RH front turn signal housing tonight.  :E: :E: :E: :E:

Needless to say, I'm not happy. AC-Delco and GM-Parts websites are nearly impossible to find useful information on. Can anyone help me find the OEM number for this so I can start pricing this thing out?

Thanks

Benny

well, if you need the entire lens assembly,go to www.trademotion.com,also listed in the google engine as GM Parts Cheap. You will have to "drill" into the Collision Catalog and look under the Front Lamps area.Gives you everything associated with the front lamps. The whole lens assembly is priced at $66.83
Hope this helps.

Othes have broken many as well.  Be careful on the bay as some on there have broken clips also..  One member drill a small hole in the housing and front clip and screwed them together..  You dont notice it, if your not looking for it..
Just a thought, this way you can save that dough for other mods..  :B:

Like Hugz said you can definately just drill through the housing and front clip and hold it together with a screw.  Mine has held up like that for over a year.  I had broken mine before I found this sight, and like a moron paid $90 at the stealership and two weeks later broke the new one :E: fortunately I had found this sight and read about the screw fix.

YIPPEE SOMEONE AGREED WITH ME...
Time to play the lottery...

:kidding:

What I did was put the housing in place, drilled through the black tab, and then marked where I wanted to drill through the clip so that my drill didn't break off the clip.

I broke mine, I was able to put it in place and shut the hood. the hood held it in place, it's been that way for a year.

How do you solve the scratch and door ding problems? >:D

Side moldings and not driving through bushes :)

Good idea on just drilling this part.  Had not thought about it.  I was just enjoying my quick draw turn signal on the passenger side.  This is the second one.  The first one was broken at delivery of the truck (replaced under warranty!!!).  Not sure how these break but I am glad that I am not alone in this frustration!

Follow this link and you can find every gm part number you will ever need. And the parts aren't to steeply priced.
