Hi all I have a 2004 Chev Avalanche I am looking for a soft topper that will ford up to cab. Im disabled and need it to cover my scooter. I want to be able to drive the scooter in then cover it over out of the weather. Can any one help me out. I live in Calgary Alberta, Canada. E mail: wsloan60@gmail.com. contact me via my email be much appreciated. Thanks, Warren

I suggest junkyards and such as they had optional soft top for bed but used different brackets so you would need the soft top and new brackets.

I bet if you found someone with soft top they would swap for your bed hard panels

I am imagining he is looking for the soft top camper type top as opposed to the optional soft bed cover.

Better for driving a scooter up under.

Or, I could be wrong.

big ramp to get up to tailgate... I remember putting a motorcycle in my bed and well tad sketchy due to height above ground

There appears to be many different solutions for transporting wheelchairs and scooters.

There would certainly be the consideration of cost with any of these solutions shown in the attached video.

I am trying to image the process of getting a scooter into the bed of an Avalanche.

Without some sort of lift, I am having a difficult time seeing any way other than to use some sort of ramp.

It will take a fairly long ramp, I would imagine, to not be too steep to safely drive a scooter up into the fairly high bed of an Avalanche.

Then, there would be the task of moving and stowing those long ramps.

Seems to me, if affordable, the solution of the rear, hitch area mounted lift and a cover to slip over the scooter would be easier than driving a scooter up into the bed and then dealing with the ramps.

It will be interesting to see what solution you finally come up with.

Best of luck.
