Looking for upstate War, Military & Police/Fire/EMS memorial sites

I'm trying to find some sites for a tour of the state.  I have a few places in mind but figured I'd ask the locals for where they might know of or suggest for people to see if they were to come through New York.  Any input would be greatly appreciated
