I found a 2003 Avalanche 2500 in Tarzana, going to check it out after work today. Looks to be good, and I can't wait to drive an 8.1 (I have always wanted to since I was around 16).
I doubt you want to drive to Michigan, But I saw a decent looking LTZ with a for sale sign in the windshield, near my house.. I didn't stop to get details.. Of course since it likely spent it's life in Michigan Rust is a major consideration.Sorry for not keeping y'all updated. I have not found an Avalanche or an EXT. I'm still in the market but I ran into some issues with my internet at home (That's why I wasn't online here). I hope I can find one soon.

nice looking truck!! did you paint all the yellow accents yourself? i really want to paint the front chrome on my first gen white, and paint the bowtie black. i would have never thought about yellow accents on a white truck with black trim, but i really like that!!I'm about to post mine for sale in a couple weeks :-( .....but I'm a few miles farther away than Tarzana
Thanks.. Yes, I had slowly collected a cabinet full of hi-temp, specialty and regular paints over the last few years.....and had to pull the valve covers to fix an intermittent collapsing lifter......it started by just cleaning everything but then I got a little carried away. Even did the whole underside of hood and firewall in flat black Raptor Linernice looking truck!! did you paint all the yellow accents yourself? i really want to paint the front chrome on my first gen white, and paint the bowtie black. i would have never thought about yellow accents on a white truck with black trim, but i really like that!!
