I just noticed today the the cladding on the right rear door is coming loose! There is double sided tape on the top area of the cladding that is closest the the front door that has come loose. I can see the tape and under the cladding a little. It has been around zero degrees around here and last Sun. We took a 320 mile road trip. When we got back I ran it through a auto car wash. I don't think the carwash did anything to it because of the direction the cladding is pulling loose. What I am wondering is if it was real cold and i ran it through a hot or warm carwash if it could make the tape release? ???

Mine's pulling away in the same spot. It's been -25. I'll wait til it warms up to see if it goes back.

Mine has been pulling away on the same door in the same area since we had warm temps. here, it has only gotten slightly worse with the cold. I run mine through an auto. carwash and don't think that is causing the problem. There is only a thin piece of the double stick tape at the top, IMHO it is not big enough to do the job.

my .02 ;)

i have worked in the aftermarket truck industry for some time now, and that tape coming loose is just a fluke. if it dosnt have just the right temp and curing process, then it will come loose. however, if you put it on right, it will never come off. go back to your dealer and tell them about the issue, thay should fix it for free. mine was coming off right away in the same spot(there are fewer body clips at that point on the truck)that was in may last year. thay fixed it right away and it is still right where it is supposed to be, and it is now Jan and we are looking at -15F. actually the only thing that can make it come up after curing properly is extreem heat, like in 150F-200F or more.

There is a problem with the clips holding the door cladding on in this spot. It appears to be the same on lots of other Avs, The drivers side rear doors leading edge. I'm bringing mine to the dealer for a replacement.

i have the same problem on the leading edge of the rear doors, and trailing edge on the front doors. i need to get it to the dealer i guess.
hey what about the cladding on the front bumper. mine seems to be coming away from the truck at the edge that meets the wheel well. i can push it in flush to be even with the metal. when i let go it pops back out. ???

This is very common. It is discussed in another thread: Front Bumper Cover Fit and Finish

Many people have had the bumper cladding replaced, and for many the problem has returned. Now there is a TSB on the issue which states that the delaser should not replace the bumper cladding at this time, as it will not help. Read the TSB by clicking here.

As for the other loose cladding issues, this is also discussed quite a bit. Here is one topic: Cladding Coming Off
